    Hello:

I wanted to change my tires on my stock 2011 Tacoma Double Cab. I was looking at the Cooper Discoverer STT Pro after reading one of your member reviews. Can anyone tell me what the largest size I can put on a stock 4x4 without requiring a lift or having rubbing issues, etc.? I currently have 265 - 65 R17 size tires on the vehicle. I am at a bit of a lost on the numbers, when I had a Toyota back in the old days (1992) I was able to use 31x10.5 tires and those numbers made sense to me but the 265, etc. is a bit confusing at to what that means. Would it be possible to go up to a 275 or something that is similar to the 31 inch height that I used to have many years ago? Thank you for any advice or help, a newbie on tires. On another note, looking for a good mud/snow tire that looks aggressive but will be used on pavement a majority of the time in a winter environment. I understand that road noise and wear on tires will be higher but I am okay with that, just would like a more aggressive look and on the weekends my wife, daughter and I camp a lot where we are off road.

And for what it worth I ran a 265/75/16 and it rubbed on the small front mud flap. I removed it and it never did that again.

But yeah, anything larger than that you've gotta cut.
