Hey, just seeing if anyone is running the ICON coil overs up front with the OME Dakars out back on a third gen?
I had this setup on my 2009, but it was a regular cab. I've been thinking about the remote reservoirs this time, but not sure on what rear shock. Only reason I am considering the Dakars is I need to still carry need to carry significant weight on occasion.

Were you pleased with that setup on your 09? I'm seriously considering a Dakar pack to go with my Icons on my 2015 dclb

I do. Stage five Icon with Dakars.

I have a heavy bed rack and rtt that are on most of the summer. I really like it. Does well off road. Rides decent on road.

I'm a little worried I'm not heavy enough. I have a long bed with Leer cap, 60#tool box, sime recovery gear, but that's about it. So maybe 300 #'s

That's about what mine has. The tent and rack weigh a little less than that.

Camping is a different story since it's packed with gear.

Ill probably go ahead and pull the trigger on monday. The other options i like are double the money! I dont mind a "firm" ride, i just dont want "rough".

If you've lived closer I'd give you a ride so you could see it.

And I don't want to be that guy, but it's really not a lot stiffer than stock. For sure stiffer, but not unbearable.

It rides better than my BRZ did on bags. And better than my WRX did on coilovers.

I really like my current set up.

In fact! I had a 2010 Range Rover before this. The Tacoma has a better ride off road. On road not so much.

Did you leave the pack as is? No removal or addition of leaves.
