Maybe a wheel shop could repair it back to original?

Alternator is fully clipped. Swapped batteries from another car and was reading the same numbers so my bets are on the alternator at this point. Going to pull the alternator and get it tested at vatozone to be sure. If it's the alternator I'll be doing the GM alternator upgrade and rebuild mine ideally for a spare per @Blackdawg s write up.

I've done a mod or two
Sounds like a good plan. I swapped for a larger alt as well and kept mine as a spare.

Yeah I was going to try it before I pull the alt. Cheap enough.

Did you use the trailer plugs too? The GM one as well?

I did trailer plugs, but I used a Denso alt from a Jaguar... $60 for a 120amp alt.... I don't think it would fit the V6 though.

I just finished the light ring or as toyota calls it a "key lamp" mod. It was easy but getting to the wires was a huge PIA!!! It would seriously be easier to take the drivers seat out and lay on your back to perform this mod lol jk.
I swapped in a superbrightleds 360 degree blue #74 led bulb. No resistors needed at all
(some people use them??). I got the dimmable leds in bulk last time so i had 2 left over from the Hvac and glove box light last time. They fade out just like the factory incandescent bulbs do when they shut off nice touch!

When @a.a.lee and I changed his in the desert we had to remove the 2 front diff bolts to make room to get it out and the new one back in. With the 4 bangers there's enough room that you don't need to do that.

Owell....i'll scrap it. Might have a slow leak the way it it

Probably more expensive to fix. A new one was 70. I ike to rotate the spare in. Not sure i 100% trust it
