I believe hyper Tech makes speedometer recalibration tool,
For around $250 not sure if that would help , but if you have your factory tires / wheels try that that would cost nothing other than swapping them out. It seems to be a problem only on tires bigger the 33 inches from what I've noticed on the 3rd gens

You apparently have an idea of what you are talking about :D

2 decades of people reporting dissatisfaction with drop bracket lifts kind of mean something

I've been lifting and lowering vehicles since I was 15 years old, and I'm 42 years two years old now, because you're obviously smarter than me , I will never be able to convince you or get you to see any other point to be beside your own. If the ABS sensor is what's causing the problem it's probably going to do with tire size only, if the problem is that yaw sensor in the higher center of gravity might be a problem and stiffer springs or heavier duty sway bars might be an answer to stop the vehicle from leaning .

I appreciate your knowledge man! So I have reset the vsc which to my understanding if it was a yaw issue it would have solved it my dealer told me when they drove around with the computer hooked to it it showed one wheel going faster than other when turning depending on which way they turned. Do you think a recalibration of speedometer would fix? Do you think something could be wrong with the wheel speed sensor? Or should I just be ok with turning my traction control off every time I drive

Supposedly the Vsc can be recalibrated by the dealer, I think your speed sensor is fine. I'm not sure if the speedometer recalibration would help. You could do the same mod that they do on the Econ button that uses a relay and keeps it on all the time, but in this case to turn it off on start up

i wasn't even talking about the specific issue the OP has and how to fix it, so no need to brag about your years of experience:rolleyes:

My response was about the general frustration people have had with these lifts over the years, which was also highlighted by others above.

So you're at 4.5" of lift with no drop bracket? What do your CV angles look like?

Is that not for the vsc reset I'm looking to just have traction control shut off automatically when I start the car

@1999RegCab , no harm no foul, I thought you were implying that I don't know what I was talking about but it's all good , i'm not a fan of drop bracket lifts because of the cutting , looks and other minor things. But I am trying to find the OP a solution.

You're right, my bad. Have you taken it to the dealer to get re-calibrated?

If possible It need to be recalibrated for the current tire size, when they put the computer on and it showing different tire speeds they need to try to recalibrate

Really, I read more threads about people dissatisfied with none drop bracket lifts.

Drop Bracket. I mentioned that I beefed up, or threw away most of the RC (Rough Country) components. My angles are spot on, and truck rides and handles awesome.

I like ground clearance, and that's why I went the route I did. Not a big fan of cranking the shit out of the stock suspension to get 3" of lift. I personally feel that my truck, when it was on 5100 and 885's (~2" of lift) rode like shit. Steering was twitchy and it cornered funny (yes, truck was aligned and in the green). Ride quality has greatly improved with the Drop Bracket lift. I've beefed the brackets quite a bit, and built some solid skid plates, I have no problem beating the shit out of it.

If I don't SAS, I might do long travel off the Drop Brackets and run Dirty 7's.

If you don't have money to pay someone to fix your shit, or have the ability to fix it yourself, you better just leave your truck stock, nothing goes smoothly in the offroad world, and people are to eager to come on here and start bitching about their suspension problem, and blame everyone but themselves. There is a fix for everything, it's not brain surgery.

I would love to get rid of my horrid abs and trac control Bull shit. Every low speed corner or parking lot transision it kicks on and I often forget to shut it off. I've had mine recalibrated at my dealer but it didn't help at all. Hoping someone can lock down a solid answer/solution to the problem

I lifted my truck 8" and I don't have these problems.

Maybe you need to lift it more?
