I thought the scoop of the Sport looked like ass, that's me.

My 2016 white trd or ac has gotten a crap load of attention the last week -- dump runs, hardware store, contractors coming by for appraisals on some work I have going on.

I went off road because I don't drive a lot, but I have several regular outings friends and I do where the OR features -- locking diff mainly -- are needed. Not extreme rock crawling, but things can get hairy.

I've swapped the tires for BFG T/A KO2s and will be getting rock sliders and some other mods.

All that, despite 75-80% of the miles will be around town.

A lot of good advice here, even with some conflict. I would add one thing to consider when you test the two...make DAMNED sure both have similar tire inflation!

I went with the OR due to the suspension/ride over the Sport.

    Like, so many.
I went with the Sport just because I'll never need the off road capability the OR offers. 4x4 will be more than enough for me. I like the larger wheels on the Sport and I put on Nitto Terra Grappler 2s. I'm really happy with it.

Best truck in the lineup. 4 doors make people think you can give them a ride; AC for the win.

I look at the TRD Sport with the sedan tires and think it looks gaunt and starving. Had the OR for only 3 weeks and have used (and definitely needed) the locker 3 times. Crawl control definitely helps me save my undercarriage when running the gnar. Thought it was a gimmick but it's surprisingly effective.

Damn right I off road in my $40k truck. What the hell else would you do with it?

My TRD OR is my daily driver.....personally way better seat in your pants ride on and off-road compared to Sport.
    I drive in sand.....kicks butt.

My thoughts are if you are paying practically the same price why not get the most options for the same price. Like the old saying it is better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. My vote is the OR unless you just have to have the fake scoop and painted fender flares.

Buy the Off Road and put a hood scoop on it if you really want the hood scoop
