2016 TRD Dual Climate Temperature Control Knobs Stuck

Guys who have taken apart that dash peice said there are some sort of gears in there and very difficult to get lined back up once opened. Your "gears" must be binding.

I finally had my passenger climate control knob replaced (actually its the entire module). Mine was sticking since the truck was new. Had a hard time convincing the dealership that there was a problem since it would only bind up when the temp's were low. By the time I would get to the dealership, the cab was warmed up and the knob would spin freely.
Anyway, finally convinced a service tech that there was a problem (with 3-months left on the warranty). My advice: get this done before your warranty runs out if you have this issue. The part was almost $1000,00...

I wanted to keep the bad part so that I could take it apart and see what the problem was. Because it was warranty work, they would not give me the bad part...

 

Had my climate control module replaced last year due to the passenger side temperature knob binding. New one is working okay still.

 

Got mine replaced under warranty guess its very common passenger side was hard go turn.

 

Mine was replaced under warranty. No issues since.
