That time a bunch of volunteer firefighters from Doylestown Fire Company happened upon my YouTube channel and invited me to the station to make some truck and HVAC videos. That's me in the green, and the truck is a 1994 Ford F350 with the bulletproof 7.3L IDI diesel...

Not a Tacoma police vehicle, but still pretty cool...

Here I am in a the squad car of a relative (I consider him an "Uncle by marriage" but just call him by his first name since I was like 23 when he and my aunt married). Anyway, this was taken on Thanksgiving in 2011. My "uncle" was working that night, but this was one of many family dinners where he found the time to stop by to say hello and grab a bite to eat, of course in uniform with his walkie-talkie on the dining room table by his plate the whole time. My step-Grandma's house is in his jurisdiction. My biological Grandpa was a 30-year veteran of the same department.

Before heading back out on patrol, he let me sit in his Crown Vic. I may have been 22 years old at the time, but Asperger's or not, some obsessions never go away. I am a lifelong car guy, and what lifelong car guy (even one like me who's more of a truck guy) doesn't think a Police Interceptor is just plain badass? Seriously, it's a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor! 'Nuff said...

My uncle had one of those... 1967 Shelby Cobra E-R-A replica... I called it a 4-wheeled ballistic missile with a CD player...

The stereo, however, was useless at speeds above 70 MPH. I know this for a fact... When my uncle took me for a ride, I brought my beloved Meat Loaf CD. The 351 under the hood completely drowned out "Bat out of Hell."

This is the same uncle who taught me how to drive a stick shift in just 20 minutes, and that's him behind the wheel of the Cobra...

These pictures were taken in like 2007 or 2008, a year or two before I got my permit, 3 or 4 years before I got my license, and 6 or 7 years before he taught me how to drive stick...

That's my dad's 2002 BMW 325Ci convertible parked in the street:

Nice write up. A few questions. Do you have pics of the wiring from the back up camera and where you guys tapped into the trucks power and rear lights source?

Didn't need to tap into the rear lights or the truck's power...

All 2009-newer Tacos are prewired for backup cameras, even the base models! Only SR5 and up actually came with them. RAV4s are the same way. My neighbor did some online research, and was able to wire the Clarion backup camera into the existing "reverse wire." As for wiring, I'm sorry I do not have any photos, and it would be kind of hard to see. It just runs from the license plate, up through the hole where the airbag wires go, and behind the dash...

A lot of people I've met just wire it right to the taillight. I have no idea how to do this...

A friend of mine has a wireless backup camera in his 2008 Sierra 1500.

It should be an easy install, lol. Mine was working for a minute then turned off. I notice the camera wire was over heated so cut the lines and removed them from my taillights so it didn't damage anything.

The one you said happened to me aswell , the airbag light came on. Now that's off and the check engine light is on. Fml

Sharp!! I had a soft top like that for mine, made by Skyler. Leaked like a sieve, totally worth it in the summer. Ended up replacing carpet in mine after several years of rain lol.

I get all my keys made at the local hardware store.

I should mention they used to do a lot of lock work not so much lately .

Besides the keys are guaranteed if there is a problem it is corrected

You need a good key to get copied it does no good to copy a old worn key

I spray penetrating oil in the locks about twice a year
