@DannyBFresco any idea of how much lift I should anticipate with the D29XL? Full Dakar packs were installed 8 months ago, I just added an aluminum camper shell and will be installing the D29's on Saturday.

Thanks in advance, underground parking and I want to make sure numbers will clear with the new shell.

    Thank you,

You'll probably get a full 2.75 or 3 inches I'd say, since the leafs have probably settled a little being on there for awhile. I had both the dakars and AAL installed brand new together, and it's around 3.25 inches...however that should settle nicely with the weight I have on it

@DannyBFresco Great thanks bud. The Dakars have been on there and settled nicely over the last 8 months, with just the AAL going in would you say perhaps I'll gain another half inch or so before the AAl settles as well? The Specs say the D29XL is designed to give roughly 15 MM= .59 inches.

That'd probably be a good guess. I don't know for sure though since mine haven't settled yet

@Pjf1119 even though your question was already answered.. If you look back at some of my pics, you can see the rake i still have with all my camp gear, tent, awnings, tent, spare, etc.. loaded into the back of the truck. I'm very happy with the dakars and d29xl aal

Took the truck on some local trails today with my girlfriend. Nothing crazy and over the top, but I'm impressed with the way the BFGs handled both on and off road. Snapped some pics while on the trail. I'm a sucker for the white letters

They're 34x10.5x17.. mounted to the truck they're more like a 33 when mounted depending on what psi you run.. For some reason these tires get a bad rep bc they run smaller then a 34" tire when mounted up but I guess most people never measure their tires before and after mounted tires up bc all tires compress when mounted under weight. My 315s measured out to about a 33.75. I really like these tires a lot

So about a month ago, my radio turned off, my cb radio wouldn't work, and both 12v plugs would not give any power. I changed the fuses every time I changed the fuse, it would instantly pop. Long story short, I traced the problem to my cig lighter. Idk exactly what ws wrong but somehow it was shorting out and popping the fuses. I took it out and everything been fine since. Today I finally decided to replace it. Since I'm not a smoker, I chose to replace it with some USB plugs instead. I also decided to run them on their own to my blue sea which makes them always hot which might come in handy when camping, who knows. Either way its fixed and I'm glad to get it crossed off my list.

I really like your truck. I am still dealing with problems from the OME lift. Tires and rims next. What tire size and rim offset are yours.

I order the ECGS Bushing so the humming will hopefully go away on the drivers side. My LCA are seized also just bought the truck in November from the biggest dealer in Wisconsin Bergstrom. I am hoping they will cover it....

What problems are you having with the OME lift? "knock on wood" I haven't had a single problem with my OME lift in all these years I've had it.
Haha ironically I bought a welder like 2 weeks after I sold them to you...

Spent about a week in Universal Studios Orlando so this thread has seen very little action :tumbleweed: so lets change that.. Today I completely my tablet/head unit install. Until now, since I out the tablet in, I would simply take it out every couple days to charge it and then out it back in the truck when charged. Today I "hardwired" the tablet so now it will only come out when I want it to. Items needed are, fuse tap, data/charger adapter, USB outlet, and a USB cable. For whatever reason, Samsung made the tablets so that they cannot charge when only hooked up to a USB, only data transfer. I found this adapter from somewhere in another country and waited out a month to get it shipped to my house. It works great for charging with just a USB plug. Now to the install:
    Fuse Tap:
    DSC_7269_zpsk7gnqept_661724a38876e85578771be426e901428540ad3e.jpg
    Data/Charger adapter:
    DSC_7270_zpsknlslpqn_b9ead85f43b2a32ad62346aae16f25e017ccd3f7.jpg
    DSC_7271_zpsiuq4xonb_e2d83ad46507f0f28d5e4b3795b7d3fce3584d4f.jpg
    USB outlet:
    DSC_7272_zpsnwcmkiry_489976a85cb4c7d5258246e76fa88767353d0263.jpg
This is how its set up.. Fuse tap, USB plug, Data/Charger adapter, USB cable, then Tablet.
    DSC_7273_zpspyrxcjcv_e13b65f61b7c32f284ff21b615c0d76a73cb0c6b.jpg
First step was taking apart the radio, running the USB cable behind the dash, wiring everything up, and testing the new setup:
    DSC_7274_zpsh0qu9wkx_3fb5f794c611084b53a41ec9c09b5239583866d3.jpg

    DSC_7277_zpssdwwzhrx_fc02d4a455417f3cf83ec70a063cadc0dc8bbc91.jpg
Everything worked great, so next was a little custom cutting to fit the charging cable to be able to plug into the tablet when all set up. I ended up having to use a different cable that was a bit smaller on the end so it could all fit nice and clean:
    DSC_7278_zpsjpukxhlb_f61a9eea0e5184067615850af5b5d0ee06597245.jpg

    DSC_7284_zpszj3nplvj_32e7ace6f82b8c62cd445d079c3217c3dc9f5a28.jpg
Last was setting everything back up for good:
    DSC_7285_zpsfs56np5o_a611819dca7baded186a757e7ad6236b5ea5d484.jpg
    DSC_7286_zpspxyxvuzg_a8c9e733afb1989d420df0abb4b3fb924b3d0afb.jpg
And thats it. I also found a cool app that turns the tablet on when the truck turns on, then puts it to sleep when the truck is turned off again.

Have a question for you. Do you use the tablet for maps? Which tablet is that? And would you suggest that one for me to buy?

I want to pick up a tablet for 2 uses. One to use GPS/maps, so im not stuck on my phone for that. Two will probably be for an ultra gauge Bluetooth.

So I need one that can charge on a cigarette lighter/possibly just usb cord and run apps/Bluetooth
