Fuel economy is better with the manual trans. Don't believe the sticker. Go with the real world testimonials.

Mine didn't come with it. But yes $80 bucks from a vendor on TW, and about 4min and you're done.

Fog lights no big deal, about $130 and about an hours worth of time.

Only real annoying thing is no keyless entry, and I have zero faith in aftermarket companies.

Convenience package comes with keyless and cruise. We added the intermittent wipers to our I4 SR AC 5spd. Could not be happier with our setup!

Wow, $76 that much better than I found.

I really would stay with your low mileage 2015. I'm saying this even though I love my 2016 SR5 4 cyl.

If you really really want the SR I'd consider selling the 2015 on your own and then get the SR but at a better price. I got my SR5 for what they want to sell you the SR. They don't have to know you like the SR more than the SR5...that way you can say "good grief I can get an SR5 for that price." Then they'd probably go down a little on the price.

The way they package these trucks makes my head spin with all the different combinations of features they can throw at a buyer.

You should really think about this before you do it.

Also the 2018's will be out before you know it...probably mid year.

In my area the new models year vehicles usually come out in early September,I don't think I want to wait that long.
So are you saying you got an SR5 for $27,000 ish?

$30,165 MSRP is the cheapest comparable SR5. If you negotiated in the vicinity of $27k for your SR5, remember ... the $27k SR can also be negotiated lower than MSRP.

    Whole bunch of shit! $$$

Get a utility package and build it like you want it.

20170215_112144.jpg 20170215_112226.jpg I have less than $180 in OEM fogs, OEM bezels, OEM cruise control, and OEM intermittent wiper switch.

The most expensive thing I have on this truck is the Tonneau cover in Bak Flip G2, at about $685.00, other than that, all oem stuff has been pretty cheap, not including the pro grill. Picked this up for $25,419 before 6% sales tax in Pa.

Those bezels are junk, and so are the lights, those are what I ordered at first, do not waste your time, get OEM and dont look back, I got OEM everything for $60 cash from a cool guy member here on TW.

I needed the rear sliding window, back seats and color matched bits. Building from utility did not make sense for me.

I,too paid 25,400ish for my truck before taxes (27,300 msrp).

My MSRP was $30,668 for my 2016 back in late November. I got it for $28,480. This is for a 4X4 SR5 which makes a $2K or $3k difference roughly. This was my final out the door cost including all the fees.

To tell you the truth I've negotiated better deals moneywise on new cars over the years but they hit a bottom at the $28K mark and I wanted to keep it under $30K...so all sides got what they wanted. I was really shooting more for a $25K/$26K deal.

Initially I really didn't want all the extra stuff on the SR5 but now I'm glad I got it.

At the end of the day get the deal you want with no regrets. I was going from a crappy 2001 Ford Ranger so anything was an upgrade. Your 2015 is already a sweet ride so really think about this.

I know you all have been on the edge of your seats waiting to hear. So I haven't made the deal yet.I did go today to another dealer, took an auto for a ride. The truck had 200 miles on it, it was a dealer trade. Believe it or not I though it drove completely different than the other auto I tested. I didn't like it as much so I am now set on the manual. He quoted me $322 a month for 39 months. It's basically my truck plus $400.I'm going back to my local dealer to see if he can beat it. The price that is.

Go for the best bottom line price...don't let them define the deal as monthly payments. That can turn a $25k truck into a $35k financial nightmare.

The monthly payment thing was my idea. I currently have a $298 payment.I have 44 payments left.So I told them I want to be at $300 per month for 36 months. So one dealer told me $325 for 42 months, another told me $322 for 39. The negotiating continues. One came out to my truck plus $1000 the other plus $400.

I see. As long as that makes sense...just a different way of wheeling and dealing.

Keep us posted. Sounds like your closing in on a deal.

I figure I'll have close to the same payment, less 8 of them. And a new truck. I'm going down one trim level, but I can live with that.

Well for all of you that have been waiting I made the deal today. 2017 SR 4x4 AC MT with Conv pkg is Barcelona Red. I traded my truck and my payments are $300/mo for 40 months. My current loan is $298/mo with 40 months left. I do have to pay $540 for the Ziebart. I told him I had to think on it but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it.My payment stays the same and the truck is two years newer. I'm pretty happy.

You made a very, very wise choice. Should of fluid filmed it yourself and saved the $500 bucks though.
