New bed cage is done. Catches the frame at 4 points. Will eventually become part of a partial exo cage.

I put a small amount of grease on the clip. It holds it in place for a bit until you get in punched in. A little trick I learned from a buddy that's a toyota tech.

Looks good. I'm just getting started on something similar to all pros black Betty exo cage. Just having a bit of tool issues this evening before making too much progress tonight.

Anyone with the dmz kit that can speak to valving? I have smooth bodies currently and will probably keep these until I can afford some bypasses.

Threw about 200# in the bed the other day and went out testing a little.

Running a light tube bumper, and a simple bed cage with a single spare in the back of my bed.

Truck ride stiffer than I would like. I'm running a 10-12 flutter on compression, and a 10 on rebound.

Any ideas? Seriously considering pulling the 5th leaf down to see if that softens things up. Any suggestions?

How big is the flutter and where is it?
For sure drop the rebound to full stack of 8s

So I've been looking at susspension kits for my gen 2 tacoma for awhile now and I've finally hit the fork in the road. Mid travel or full travel? Where I live currently (southern California) I would get use out of a LT kit but if i decided to do LT I could only do it up front and would run a TC SUA setup with shock hoops in the rear (I have a shell and sleep in the bed) if I ended up moving out of california (looking towards Arizona, Utah, colorado currently) would I still get the full use out of the kit? Or would I be better off with some new UCA'S and coilovers up front and a TC SUA kit in the back? My biggest fear is that I'll invest in mid travel and just regret it and want LT or that I'll go LT, move out of the desert and not get to use the LT kit for what it was made for and would have been better off just going mid travel. Been looking at the Baja designs, camburg, and TC kits.

There are plenty of people on here with LT that use it for more than judt blasting through the desert. I would vote for LT if you can afford it

Oh man. Off the top of my head I know it's my second shim of the piston. Fairly small and I believe it's .010

Probably too late, but a hose clamp around the clip works awesome.

If it were me....I'd start with:
    Comp:
    175-10
    160-10
    100-8
    145-12
    130-12
    115-12
    100-12

    Reb:
    Full 8 stack

Most likely what you are feeling is the leafs packing because they aren't dropping out fast enough. 10 is too much rebound on 16+" of travel, especially on smooth bodies.

I have this set up. I am on the east so it works, but I might end up going full LT in the rear in the future...thinking about going the DMZ route. It eats up stuff decently well in the rear, will have a better comparison in a few weeks as that is when I will be going out next and will be able to see what the 3.5 can do. If it were me and I was in the scene, I would LT the rear. Talk to Tim over at DMZ and tell him your plans, he would probable be able to give a good recommendation for that. Worst case, you can get a slightly stiffer deaver pack tailored to handle the extra weight of a shell. Better to LT than not.

Anyone know off the top of their head if the Autozone or Napa CV axles are compatible with Camburg extended shafts?
