Got her off the pavement for the first time since adding my bumper and sliders this past Saturday...

    Truck looks awesome!

Did you have any issues with rubbing on UCA when you went to the 285? I have the 17" sema fj wheels and I kinda recall someone telling me I'll rub, unless I'm hearing things in my own head haha

    Appreciate it!

I'm running the SPC LR UCAs and i haven't experienced any uca rubbing with the 285s.

Couple of things I've done in the past few weeks...

Ordered a matching spare TRD Trail Team and 285/75r16 BFG KO2... Tire should be here tomorrow!

    image.jpg

Finally got around to installing my Yakima camper top tracks. I bought the 60" tracks a few months back and cut them down to fit. I already had the crossbars from my last truck. I measured out 42.5" between the feet on both crossbars and used that to square up the tracks before taping and drilling into my camper. Made things much easier!

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

And also just put my camper top TRD third brake light decal on! Thanks @spieler!

TRD exhaust came in today... Install was pretty easy and straight forward. Hangers weren't too bad after soaking them in silicone lubricant.

UPS did a pretty bad job with the delivery... Dents and scratches all over, but I'll make do.

Sounds great! Chrome tip is a little bigger than I'd like, but I plan on painting it or cutting it in the future.

Truck looks awesome! What are you doing with the full size spare? Do you have it stored in the bed or are you looking at getting a swing out rear bumper?

It's just strapped down in the bed right now. But I'm eyeing a swing out rear in the near future... Just need a little extra income in my life haha!

I'm looking at a @Bruteforce Fab rear... I'm just trying to decide between the standard or the high-clearance. I doubt I'll ever need the high-clearance, but it looks bad ass!!! I just don't know if I can bring myself to hacking the bedsides off yet!

Right now I have 885's and I'm thinking of getting your same bumper (aluminum), and probably a winch at a later time. Can't decide whether to get 887's and then likely need to get 886's for the winch, or just get 886's off the bat and live with the stiffened ride.

I lost a good bit of height on the 887s with just the bumper and sliders. I've kicked around the idea of a winch too. If I did go with a winch, I thinks I'd swap for 886s... Especially if running steel cable.

If running synthetic line, a small spacer and 887s might work to regain a little of the lost height.

Another possible option is the new 888 spring. I think OME came out with it this year for 3rd Gens. Same spring rate as 885s and 887s, just 5mm taller than 887s (if I remember correctly)... But I haven't heard anyone trying them on 2nd gens yet.

Realized I haven't updated in a little while... Not a lot of change, but added a Pelfreybilt aluminum IFS skid back at the end of August. Even being aluminum, this thing is stout!

Primered and rattle canned in matte black...

Recently had my GF print me up some red decals... TRD added at least 15hp and 3" of clearance!

Did you have to trim for those 285 KO2s?
Thinking of getting some, I have the 885s, you think I'll be okay without rubbing?

I think you'll most likely need to trim something. Are you running factory wheels? I think aftermarket wheels with around 4.5" back spacing help eliminate some of the rubbing. Also, are you running the spacers to get closer to 3" of lift? That will help you out too. I'm guessing you'll probably ended up needing to do some work under there... Especially if you get off the pavement any.

I'm sticking with the factory wheels. I'm not running spacers. Hmm sounds like trimming the fender plastic and a possible CMC is gonna be in my future...

Yeah, I need to break down and get some trimming and possibly a CMC done on mine. I lost a little bit after the springs settled and after adding sliders and IFS skid.
