If I don't have front end vibration, would this be a potential problem if there is slight side to side movement of the drivers CV? Just wondering if I should replace this as a preventative measure.

Thanks, I placed an order w/ECSG today. My tacoma has a factory lift but I just turned 7K miles so looks like I'll swap it out to be safe. Seem like most on the forum indicate that it WILL become an issue down the road.

Just thought I'd give an updated. Had TSB bearing installed on my 2015 completed at 2k. Truck has 32k with no issues. 2.25 lift up front 1 in rear.

If they are they aren't working any better. I developed the vibration 3 days after lifting truck. I ordered the ecgs bushing today but also made an appointment with my dealer to see what they will do.

At the dealer now. They told me the tires (which are stock) are causing the vibration. I asked them why it goes away in 4wd they didn't have an answer. Then i mentioned the needle bearing and the tech said that the vibration from that shows up more at parking lot speed not driving down the hiway. They are rotating my tires now. How can they be so ignorant to a problem that occurs a lot on these trucks.

I would have just brought the tsb with me but it stops at 2015s and I have a 17. I figured they'd say the prob doesn't apply to my year. My ecgs bushing is suppose to be here tomorrow, I wonder if I should just put it in or keep messing with the dealership since they haven't mentioned a thing about my lift

I may just drive it off the lot then bring it right back and tell them it still does it then have them look at the tsb. I really don't wanna mess around to long for fear of messing up my cv shaft (I've driving approx 500mi with this vib now)

Just took my 2015 in with 25,000mi. The technician did not feel the vibe, however the service advisor did after I asked him to ride with me. They were about to tell me I needed to leave the truck with them for further diagnostics, until I gave the advisor the TSB number. They ordered the parts and are going to perform the TSB under warranty. I did however also order the ECGS bushing as a backup ;)

What’s the tsb number? I have a 2012 with about 134k Miles. Just lifted it a little more and I feel a slight vibe. Went out and pushed on the axle where it enters the front diff and there some decent play when pushing up on it.

I had mine done under warranty around 10k when I lifted with 5100s @ 1.75. At around 20/25k I went up to 887s and 3pc AAL in the rear and I'm still fine. Now at 42k

Thought I'd report for those following this thread that I tried and failed to get mine fixed at two different dealers with the TSB bearing. I had the vibration before I lifted my truck, and was told at the time that it was tires (I should have known better though). So, I just figured I'd replace the tires when I lifted. Lifted last week and the vibration is still there, so yep...not the tires. It is definitely the needle bearing. Even though the vibration was there before the lift they won't fix it...(I'm only lifted 1.5" too) lame. I'm having them put in the ECGS bushing. They gave me a good price on the work so it's worth it.....STILL...I'm kinda mad at Toyota for not fixing a KNOWN problem with their vehicles...especially one that really doesn't cost them that much to fix. I'm still under the powertrain warranty too. 50k on the truck and 3 years old.
