    How is everybody getting these cleans ass cuts on the flares, this what I'm scared to do. F the sheet metal. This is what's holding me up from doing it. :anonymous:

    Cut & broke off some stuff.
    Same as fenders. Cover in tape, draw a line, cut it.
    I used a variable speed jigsaw with good/new blades.
    A fine tooth metal cutting blade for the fenders so they didn't snag or chatter as I cut.
    A medium pitch wood blade for the flares. On the flares, set the saw to a medium/slow speed and keep the saw moving. You don't want it to build up heat up and melt the plastic.
    Then sand it smooth just like you did for the metal (hopefully).

    Happened to me more than once. Just tried to keep a nice smooth arc and slowly move it back toward the mark. As long as you don't do an abrupt shift, you won't be able to tell.

    Swapped my spare out for each rear tire saturday to see if they were source of the vibration I've gotten since putting on the new tires.
    No luck.
    I think my first gut feeling about it being the drive shaft angles responding to the increased rotating mass was likely right.
    So, U-bolt flip with tapered shims and a small shim at the center bearing are now in. My short test drive seemed like an improvement. I'll know for sure tomorrow after my 70-ish mile round trip to work.

    Angle through the rear u-joint was 5 degrees. After putting in a 3 degree shim, angle was 0 deg. WTF. That 0 is the only reason I messed with shimming the center. Was able to get some angle back in there so grease would circulate.

    skid plates have been doing their job.
    Removed them to clean out the mud and change dif oil.
    Going for a new color since I don't have red rims anymore. Gunmetal Metallic. To match the outer ring on the new rims. :p
