What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I got a picture of it at the dealer after 450 mile transport. 10 miles new!

 

I told myself that I wanted Nitto's or Toyos, but I picked these up today. Dude at Discount Tire bought them and returned them because they "rubbed" on his 2002 Tundra at full lock. He had them for less than 1 day. Picked them up for $600 OTD from them so couldn't pass them up. SCREAMING deal for new KO2's. Now I just need some wheels and a lift.

 

How much for the Bilsteins? Can you ship to Georgia?

 

Put on a cow catcher and painted the chrome grille black.

 

About 1k. They match factory interior. Very clean and great setup in my opinion. They simulcast from one to the other or play separate movies. They both have external inputs also.

 

Took my Tacoma to the dealership for warranty repairs on the vibrating hood. ODO = 580 miles

It was covered. Will pick up in a few days.

 

CVT does give a 15% discount to TW members so keep that in mind. I just couldn't help myself and had to pull the trigger.. So it'll be a good week for the truck, new set of tires and the rtt

Same size, 285/75 17. Just got a great deal on these toyo mt's.. couldn't pass them up so my current tires, which are almost brand new will be going on another members truck and these mt's will be going on mine

 

Today at 7:00pm has been 1 week since I drove off the dealer's lot my PRO/Cement. From second #1, while still on the lot I heard an annoying rattle from the "right"side of the cabin. Every day it drove me nuts since was near the right ear and not able to find it. Tried every damn thing, every piece of plastic in the door, side panel, dashboard, etc and no solution. Did not want to go back to the dealer for fear they would make it worse and mask the problem.
After many readings and searching, I found this post and started to poke it around and finally I found the rattling location.

As soon as got home I pulled off the overhead console and as in the previous post the plastic frame was loose, only glued in one corner...all around the inside of the head liner the glue was minimal and dry. (come on Toyota, can't you use better glue and make sure is in place?)
Also have cut off the frame and trash it. The red pegs holding the console in the holes are crap plastic and one of them was damaged, not even pushed in the hole...no wonder my console was crooked and slanted.
Quick trip to Auto Zone to pick up new pegs and since I was in the console I also picked up LEDs for the interior lights.
If you have an annoying rattle check the overhead console as the primary cause, the plastic frame is loose and tapping in the roof mounts. That frame is only supposed to keep the liner in place but does not have a useful purpose since is unglued, you can see the dried up glue all around the inside liner. Useless.

 

Oh and another thing, the wild county xtx's also meet the requirements for a severe winter tire and have the mountain/snowflake symbol on them.

 

I like how you mounted the maglite. I was looking for a good spot to place my clips too and I think I will copy your idea. I find it amusing that you have a red light for your red truck and my light matches my black truck.

3 weeks, 1600 miles.

 

That rattle has been bothering me for months!! Thought it was the corner of the dashboard but figured out it was the console! I'll be handling it sooner or later.

 

I had the same experience, but when they arrive...one of the best mods on my truck!

 

I didn't get endcaps for mine. Didn't really see a need.
