    That was a streetlight down the road with I80 right behind it, the red running lights and the yellow light kinda make it look like a sunset but this picture had a 255 second exposure

    New challenge: Lens compression

    If you're not familiar with this technique, you use a telephoto lens to "compress the image". Basically you use the longer focal length to make the distant images (behind the subject) appear larger than they really are.

    One photo per person and due this Sunday at midnight of your local time. Photo must be taken after the time of this post. Good luck everyone and GO!

    I really wanted to get the full moon and a silhouette of trees at the bottom of it for this challenge! The weather and the moon didn't cooperate so the only other pic I got this week was this one...

    Not really fitting for the challenge but I used a telephoto wide open to try and blow out the distracting background.

    I am so happy this week. For 6 months now my camera has been kinda sidelined as the power switch stopped working for some odd reason. so you had to risk pulling the battery to turn it off. RANDOMLY while doing this challenge it decided to start working again from having the battery out for a couple weeks. It also showed that it fully drained itself finally since I had to reset the date. I am assuming it was the same issue...
    So not fully understanding the challenge but I think I got it. (or at least to the best of my ability) the windows in the picture are 4 feet across and 6 to 8 feet high.
