I just bent the ears for the stock spare tire location and keep mine stashed underneath. I didn't want to hinder my bikes either!

This is my "gravel" bike - 2016 Fuji Tread 1.0 full 105 (after I swapped crankset) The tires are WTB All Terrain 700x37c. Love this for all but craziest of singletrack. It does road/sidewalks/greenbelts and up to moderate singletrack amazingly. I will not ride my road bike anymore since getting this. It is comfortable, fast (faster than my actual road bike with 700x25s on it). Road bike = 17 lbs and the Tread is probably 22-24. Still faster. Much more comfortable on longer rides than the road bike. I bought it out of spite to NOT have to be riding in road with traffic. It will but doesn't have to at all and doesn't for most part. The looks I get bailing off a greenbelt and flying down these grassy knolls to go around pedestrians/pets/kids is priceless...like why is that road bike flying and going thru the grass and stuff? It would be great CX bike with different cassette slightly geared more towards offroad but I have plenty of bikes for offroad specific craziness. I did ride it up in hill country MTB trails once and found the limit of how much offroad I like doing on it. The disc calipers are dual pull to so both sides move pads not just mostly one side. Everything on this thing works great. Was just under 1k new and the points I got buying it from performancebike paid for the 105 crankset too. Favorite go far and fast pavement option by far out of the 19 bikes hanging around the house............

and back on topic..........the Push Industries rebuild on my Float 32 CTD evolution on my AnthemX 29er is nothing short of amazing. They shoved in the Fit4 cartridge the killer seals/bushings and tuned it for my weight+gear. Mucho dinero but worth every bit IMO. (pre rebuild foteaux above)

Have not ridden a mountain bike in a few years but I'm getting this 2015 Specialized Crave SS tomorrow. Hopefully I've got the legs and lungs for it!

That thing looks awesome. You'll build up endurance pretty quick. I picked up a kona unit as late last year and love it!! You can always switch out the rear cog pending your terrain. I have an 18 on mine. It makes it a good even flow. Here's a pic, I've since switched out a few things.

I like that Kona. Mine is 32-20 right now which I hope should be ok to start, it's a 29'er.

Thanks...it is pretty nice, it's a 29er also. I had a 20 on it but for anything flat it's too high of a gear and you can't really gain much speed. That's why I'm partial to the 18.
