Has anybody ever bought duralast gold rotors and had them not fit their 1st gen? I bought 2 the other day and neither one fits without rubbing hard on the calipers. I've never seen that before and I've changed a lot of brakes. Comparing the old and the new they look exactly the same but the old rotors turn just fine. IMG_1222.jpg

google only reveals other people with other duralast parts (pads or rotors) not fitting other vehicles

so...maybe whoever makes duralast has a crappy oem fitment department

make sure to "chisel" away the built up rust and brake scale before putting in the new rotors. along the side where I see it's rubbing and where the outside diameter would be

I have had a terrible time with duralast rotors not fitting. I won't buy them anymore.

OP, you may have gotten the wrong part#, with a larger diameter.

Even OEM sometimes has quality control. When I did my Tundra brake conversion,
I bought 2 new OEM rotors. One was warped. No problem exchanging for a good one, though.

That's correct. Duralast is Autozone's house brand.

I bought brembos and have been very happy with them. Then again there isn't any auto zone near here.

Might be enough rust on your old calipers I most often install new rotors and rebuilt calipers .

Might be a mix of Rust on the calipers and Rotors being a bit over size but not enough to be rejected

put the pads on take it for a ride

I would bet it cleans off and quits rubbing in less then 10 miles

Wash the metal dust off and call it good

This is about 99% Satire But I have had things go where i would have done just this .
