the rubber bumpers only make the hood sit taller. if I lower them, I get real bad hood flutter

Ahh gotcha. Maybe try a rubber spacer with double sided outdoor 3M tape between the hood and the rubber bumpers before you cut into your hood?

Ok, I am gonna say it- this is the first time I have seen "like 420 high" and "i am pretty anal AF" in consecutive sentences! Well done!

As for the hood- I wonder if it has anything to do with the ditch lights, combined with your mileage? I do not recall seeing anywhere that ditch lights/brackets helped to caused this, but I also know you do lots of interstate driving...
    :notsure:

Of course not- just wondering if the wind resistance from the ditch lights-near the windshield, has somehow help to lift the front outer edges of your hood??? IE- pushing down on the back, lifting up the front...?

Again, only say this since you drive. Lots of freeway miles.
