Bought a certified preowned TX TRD Pro in 15' with 49.3k that was a 2011... No problems here. Had a mazdaspeed 3 before the truck (MAZDA SUCKS). Tacos have some weird noises that come outta them every now and then but they keep running. I can't wait to break my truck in more. The drive chain and fan are a little abnormally loud however, its not a luxury car like you had before its truck...

OP I remember my first day in my Taco. I was like what the heck is all this ticking. It has gotten so normal if I don't hear the tick I think something is wrong.

This truck eats front brakes and makes all kinds of brake noise. 30K had rotors replaced because they were warped (or at least that is what dealership said). Fluid leaks make sure the boys in the lube section weren't sloppy and didn't clean up their mess. Have them put it on lift and show you the leaks. Take it to local shop or another dealer for second opinion.

    WRONG! Hierarchy goes like this:

    1st Gen > 2nd Gen > 3rd Gen

    In other words, Gen1FTMFW!

Ticking on the V6 is the PWM Valve, located on the driver side of the intake. Remove it and put a rubber washer on then reinstall, works great. Might be the same with the 4 banger. :fingerscrossed:
