That makes sense :) Are the superbumps replacing stock bumps with a beefier bump or are they putting in bumps where none were before?

They replace the stock bumps. The stock ones feel like hockey pucks and are super small. The superbumps are like clouds.

If you go super bumps up front.. You win. I'm an overland rig and love my timbren bumps aft. When I'm fully overland weighted down I truly appreciate the. The super bumps back aft would be too soft.

Front and rear stops are great. But boy we're those fronts a pain in the ass to put on. Good thing @YotaGurlIAm had the patience to sit there and tighten those damn bolts in.

I wanna really ride shot gun in your rig. I wanna feel your suspension work. Lets bang it around already. Your capabilities are endless. Side suggestion, and you're going to get all kinds of reasons why you don't need to: get limit straps on your rear. I'm doing it for myself. Kings are king and the get very happy when flexed. Sometimes too happy.

We'll have to discuss this next time we meet up. I've got the extended brake lines on the rear, need to do my fronts still. But I could see limit straps being useful, better safe than sorry, right?
And you of course can ride shotty as well

Hey OP the dakars, you installed as is or did you remove a leaf to have a more even ride? And also, I read you said that it smoothed out the ride when you added weight to the rear. what exactly did you do there? Thanks!

Full pack, didn't remove anything. For the weight I have a sleeping platform with carpeted wood that adds maybe an extra 50-60 pounds. I currently have it out as the carpet got soaked from a water jug leaking. I'm going to pickup some sandbags to throw back there while it's out.

Had a great trip this weekend to Joshua Tree. Good times were had with good people.

Went on a little recovery mission today to pull a fellow TWer out of some soupy mud. With the help of @icetreye we were able to pull him out safely.

Wasn't no Death Valley spindle recovery, but a recovery is a recovery. Was glad to be able to provide assistance and help a new friend out.

Most definitely. Doesnt matter if it 300 miles or 300 feet away. Being stuck is a scary spot to be. People like yourself make all the difference. You're a good man!

Just stumbled across your build thread. I am also Brian, live in OC, have the OR LB , picked it up on 6/19/16, and have the RCI front skid. Crazy! I like the direction you have gone with your taco.

Haha! Rad! where in OC? A group of us meetup every Thursday for beers at the Bruery Terreux. We're also gun lovers like yourself (assumption from your avatar). You'd fit right in.
