As far as noise goes....you can try adding that black door edge molding to some of the fins....worked well on my dual row 50"

    4B078B4D-CC41-4050-B899-2A6A2B6E27D2_zps_328cb83331080ec2233ccddf150e5d539156e73c.jpg

Then I got a single row since the cheap eBay double sucked and it was further from the roof....door edge didn't do shit. Got some of that corrugated black plastic (actually a house roof vent) and cut it to shape...making a fin that closes some of the gap. Dead quiet now!

    AC446D84-8462-4427-BC81-ABBE21E1C6D4_zps_437a6f88067272425ef17b9aa6e3a269bf5c4ae1.jpg

Given the choice again, I wouldn't even have gotten a light bar....but my brackets are installed (drilled) so its there.... The light is stupid bright to the point of almost unuseable....was great in 1/2 mile of abandoned train tunnel, ect...beach...but usually its useless.

Rago mounts are designed for caliraised bars that measure 52" if you have less then that you'll need to get longer bolts and lock nuts to hold the bar. Mine is a 50" auxbeam and you can see 2 more inches would have cleaned up the install.

If you do get these brackets take your time and buy a quality nut insert set......... You'll be surprised how many mounting options can be improved with a threaded rivet.

Go to caliraised. They have lightbar and bracket combo for $389.99. Will be a much better light and you know your brackets will fit. And then you can sell your other light to recoop some of the cost. I have the 32" bumper light bar and it is awesome.

Thanks I love the low profile on the light bar just make sure you do whistle delete mod before mounting bar.

A 52" led will make the job easier but most 5D lights are about the same IMO the only way you can tell the difference is a $1K ridge or Baja nothing against caliraised I never saw there product but auxbeam was $115

Edit just saw they are $197 now I must have hit a sale.

I drilled the oem roof rack. The mounts were pretty good (still there today) and were riveted onto the roof rack. The roof light was probably the worst mod I've ever done. I even used plastic door trim to make the roof light quieter, but it was still loud. I also had to deal with the trimming coming off the back of the roof light after rain in Florida (all the time). The lights were not that useful either (blinding hood if pointed down enough to see the ground). I hope you end up with better lights/experience than I did. Good luck IMG_9799.jpg

I will be mounting my MCM brackets for a straight bar in a day or two. I expect they will work out pretty well as I think most designs are similar for the bolt on roof gutter applications.
