I'm gonna call my spindle the half chub spindle, because only the top half is fabricated. The bottom half is the stock 4 bolt design hahaha.

I'll post photos this weekend though.

Is Prinsu aluminum? If so, I'd go with that instead. Lighter and no chance of it rusting.

Whitson ripoff? Isn't whitson a copy of the Gobi already? Haha

id wait until you get a confirmation on the other. Seems Prinsu is super backed up and people are beginning to get cranky with him.

Yeah there's that too. One of my buddies ordered about a month or two before the GB and still hasn't gotten his FJ rack. Literally made a TW account just to message Prinsu since they didn't respond to his emails. Not the same guy who created the thread but I think he chimes in on the first couple pages.

Seems like your mind is made up already, but I've been pretty happy with my Eezi Awn rack. Super lightweight and welded aluminum, can't really get a lower profile either. You can swap out the standard feet with even lower 60mm legs which is what I did. I waited a whopping 7 days to get mine in.

Front Runner is pretty good too. Really like their accessories, wish my K9 rack had some of the options.

4th gen with the short leg swap

I like this a lot. I really want a full length rack but I'm not going Gobi. Wish someone made a flat rack for 3rd gens

@dtaco06 have you looked at the rhino rack group buy? Not sure if they make a 4th gen specific rack

The Eezi Awns are pretty universal. The way it mounts I'm pretty positive it'll work on anything with existing gutters or threaded holes on the roof.

Actually the Front Runner does this too, but you'll need to source the legs and rack separately. They make application specific racks but that's just the preformed side mounts. You can get universal ones from them too.

Yeah much better with an RTT anyways if that's in your plans. The raised sides of the Whitson are nice for cargo, but you'll need to strap everything down securely regardless of what rack you have.

I'll make a Prisnu rip off since he doesn't make one for 3rd gens. Either that or wait for a used rack to eventually pop up somewhat locally

I'm bummed now because I found a friend a full length gobi rack for $300, but now that I have a 4runner again I want it! Realistically I don't need a rack as I never put anything up on the roof besides snowboards.
