So current dilemma on trying to purchase

    Oz-Tent RV3
    or
    FoxWing Awning

Would really like the Oz-Tent by May to use at Jambo... but also would really like the FoxWing at some point. Which one feels more important to get now...

Couple side things I want to get as well... by at least June 1st
    Sound Deadening for the truck
Another tire for full sized spare

While also looking at getting a Mountain Bike and the stuff to transport it to the trails...

And a DSLR for all the trips this year...

So i would say that if you dont already have something to sleep in, then get the tent, if you already have a tent, then get the foxwing!

Mountain Bike: depending on what brand, my roommate maybe able to hook you up, i just need to know the make and model.

DSLR... you are on your own!

Yea, we have some great trails at Tyler State Park and at Faulkner Park south of Tyler.

I really wanted the FoxWing, that is why I sold my ARB awnings... but now as I keep thinking about it... almost feel like I don't need it and would rather get the Oz-Tent for now.

I have a cheap coleman tent that was useful last year and did not have any issues with. Except it will get cold in there as there is no way to close the vents, and it is small for me.

I was looking at a TREK XCaliber8, but may also look at a Diamondback Overdrive.

    Literal First World Problems

Word! He can probably get a discount on the Trek, but not the Diamondback.

That Trek looks like a nice bike! I have a Fuji Tahoe 4.0 29er. I love it but it has been a bit neglected since i got my Fit Inman 3, which isnt really an Inman anymore as i have replaced everything on the bike!

I would go RTT > Fox wing. The fox wing is sweet but the RTT I see as a more useful item. Both eventually but with trips, sleeping comfort is more important than an awning over my head.

As ofr the bike, I have no clue, know nothing and cant help you at all.

For a DSLR, from all my research its best to find a good body used. The tech hasnt advanced very fast and a 5+ yr old body with good lenses is still a GREAT camera. No need to spend too much by going new when used still produces high quality for someone that isnt using it for a career.

Speaking of cameras... how many canon shooters do we have? I have 2 shoe mount flashes from when i was doing photography.. ive sold my gear years ago but still have the flashes

Canon 430ex, a yongnuo that is comparable to to the 430, supports ETTL, vertical flip bracket with cord, and light box diffuser

    Who needs this stuff?

I dont know what any of that is but I am now shooting on a Canon or I will be next time I use the DSLR. Probably will be at jambo. I should probably start playing with it to figure out how it works before then.

Ha! I was thinking about it last night when at the park. Think I am going to do the Trek from the local shop as I they have always helped me out in the past and they know what they are talking about, so would like to establish that relationship more by purchasing from them. Unless a discount is very steep...

Well I may have made a bet with the GF yesterday that I cannot buy anything that goes on the truck for a month. We are trying to save some money this month, so this is a good way to do it. However, that excludes a bike mount for a mtn bike.

Also on the tent, also decided to hold off on getting an Oz-Tent, yea it would be awesome to have and use but the tent I have now still works and was like $100. Yea it is not the best out there, but still works so until something breaks on it I am going to stick with it. I can hopefully still get the really good price I was going to get on the Oz-Tent down the road.

My cost on it is surprisingly cheap. Id have to get some black abs plastic and make inserts for the opening though. Because im a picky bitch.

Matching front bumper. I think I may end up doing both.

    It's different, looks pretty good.
How far does that front center stick out? If it's not to far I like that design. Looks better than the back. Both together would look good!

Need to figure out how best to wire up my winch power and looking to add an aux fuse box as well for the lighting and stuffs. Guessing you cut/grind off the existing terminals on the stock cables? there's not a lot of excess length as it is so doubt you'd want to cut the cable shorter.

    On a different note -

Who in N. Dallas / Plano / McKinney neighborhood is running their 2nd Gen on 885 coils, OME softride shocks and E-load AT's, buy you a beer for a ride around town to see what sort of ride I'm getting myself into. Since the truck's had to become my daily driver in addition to adventure seeker machine I'm having to consider my suspension mods a bit more carefully.
