my favorite has got to be my winchester model '94 made in 1913, I dont know what it is, but it balances really really well when shooting off hand. I had the top eject though, i like scopes more than open sights

My favorite has got to be my 336BL. Dropped an 8 Point last year with it. If it holds up as well as my dads old 336C I'll be more than satisfied.

I've got a hammer spur on my 336 that the set screw is stripped ou antd I can't get it off. I don't have a scope so no need for a spur, it bothers my OCD being there all these years!

I need a picatinny scope rail for mine so I can mount a scope to it. It came with a scope, but the scope mounts were trash and one of the mount screws was broken in half inside of the reciever. Cost me $35 at the gunsmith to get it out.
Mine is a 30AW which is a budget version of the 336, I believe.

Nice. I can't trust my iron sights. The rear sight falls out after a few rounds.

    Nope. Shitty quality.

The piece I'm holding in the picture is the elevation adjustment. It free-floats in a type of leaf spring (the rear sight blade is the leaf spring). Under recoil, the rear leaf bounces and the elevation adjustment moves/pops out.

    20210122_144358.jpg

There is also no adjustment for windage.

Oh ok, you're talking about the factory buckhorn sight. They suck to be honest. Get you a set of XS or Skinner sights and it will totally transform how you shoot your lever gun.
