    Money was very good. Base pay was decent and OT, when available was great. But, as with any OT, feast or famine, depending on needs of the business, storms/hurricanes as well as callouts.
    I was in at the right time and I made some decent money over the years. That said, I would still try Power, as the longevity of Telco these days is iffy at best.
    I think its Frontier in Cali now. Decent outfit as they seem to be an employee oriented company.
    Give them a shot if you need experience and it's a good adder when you get to the power side.
    Worked with a couple guys years back who got laid off from my former company and had no trouble getting into Power co.

    Hey boss,
    I have an interview for an apprentice I position out in texas for medina electric, any pointers coming from working at a co-op? and what would you say is the benefit of working at a co-op?

    At our co-op, 2 things are important. Get along with everyone and work hard. A quick learner will go far.
    Benefits= good benefits, decent pay, and job security.
