Thailand toy

Hi all I just found the forum so I thought I would join.

I thought there might be more users from overseas thailand is loaded with tacos. but here they were called Tigers depending on the year.. I have a 02 turbo diesel and love the diesel. about 20 mpg on mountain roads it's no rocket ship but it is pretty quick. I plan on more mods right now it has a 6in lift with 33 inch tires. Resivore offroad shocks a 10000lb winch and a snorkel . next year lights, front and rear offroad bumpers.

This week I have drove to the Golden Triangle and did a little offroading.

 

Tigers? Who knew? Not us. What years are considered Tigers?

Beautiful truck. I am in SE Asia a lot (Singapore, Thailand, HK), and tons of Tigers and Hilux.

1998 to 2005 are the hilux Tigers.
The snorkel is custom made from stainless steel

 

There is an import tax up to 300% for stuff not made in tthailand it's how they pay for national health care and other stuff

Welcome! I like the tubular chrome pipe... I was considering using black pvc rubber tube and running it under my truck and back up behind the cab. Since rubber tubing can be squeezed here and there and still allow air in.

Notice toyota doesn't paint the engine bay they all are white from the factory

 

Not sure how I feel about that one.

 

The paint quality on the new cars plastic bumpers at the dealerships sure look like the bumpers were repainted. Look dull the rest looks good. I was told All of the trucks came with white engine compartments until 2005. I don't like it but until I reprint it not to much I can do
