So it looks like your the guy to ask with a good knowledge on these lifts. Of course i'm new as many are here and am looking at either the Toytec ULK or the OME LIFT KIT. I have a 2010 double cab long bed Pre-runner
    1. which kit will ride the best (as factory or better, not rough)
    2. which kit will give full 3" lift
    3. i do not have the TSB springs, will i be ok or should i fight the hassle

OME lift will give the best ride. The 885's will give close to 3" lift. Get an 2" AAL for the rear, then...Some UCA's either Light Racing, Total Chaos, or the ones from Downsouth motorsports, and your good to go!

I've got a question on the OME 3" kit. Is it just the 2.5" with the spacers? If so, any issues caused by the spacers? I'm assuming they'd be minimal since they'd be short, but wanted to ask someone using them. Thanks!

I bought front 5100's and set them at 2.5 and it gave a very stiff ride( with a 1.5' block in the back) . You will want the comfort again. I had to buy some OME 886's. I then lowered the shocks to the lowest setting. And right now the truck stands at 3' approx. probably 1/4 of rake. But seems leveled. Will buy the rear 5100's in some time.

from what ive gathered on here at this point my best bet is to get 5100's all four which ive found for 315 for front and rear and i can use my stock coils. any experience in this situation?

Depends on what you want. There's factors that need to be taken into consideration. You can get your "nice look" without dwelling to much into your truck and just buying all around billies and maxing out the front. Ride will not be as comfortable as you'd like, and it will get annoying after a while.

I currently have 285/75/16's on 886's with billies in the front and a rear block. I will probably buy some OME rear shocks soon to smoothen the rear ( I have the original billies that come with the off road package in the rear, and therefore they lost some compression when I installed the block). Takes time and resources to get your build to the optimal best you want it, every time you add one thing you soon find out you could add something else to better compliment what you added.

Its a never ending story.. but that's what makes it special:thumbsup:

The new OME spring should ride better than the stock spring preloaded to high-heaven. From all the reading (over reading) I've done, 5100 at .85 or the next highest setting ride decent, but by 2.5" lift they're pretty rough, not because of the shock, but because of all the preload on the stock spring that's causing the lift. The 885 is a longer slightly higher spring rate coil which removes the preload effect. You should not use the 5100 shock on anything but the lowest (non-lift) setting with the longer coil spring.

I'm 4-6 weeks from buying my lift, I'm 99% sure I'm going with the 885, no top spacers, the OME soft ride shock, and a progressive AAL in the back. I'm aiming for 2-2.5" max on my lift up front, which should be in the ballpark for the ~110lbs extra weight I have up front and the sliders I currently have. Really don't want to have to get into UCA territory for a while yet. (I'm expecting 2-2.5" on the 885's as I've got a 4wd + extra weight due to sliders and bumper).
