I think you are probably right. I don't believe anything was significantly damaged but there is that "unknown" element that nags at me.

Truth is, I'm more angered by the fact that they removed the dipstick. I'm sure it saved millions of dollars but how dumb is that, really.

At the end of it all, if the truck lasts 5 years and I get 70-80K miles out of it with a decent trade-in value at the end, I'll be happy even with the strange quirks the transmission has.
I may even spend more money with Toyota at that point. While I don't consider myself a brand loyalist, this is the third Toyota truck I've owned in roughly 20 years.

    Thanks again.

Toyota is not the only manufacturer to remove transmission dip sticks. in fact its becoming more common.
I agree 100% and totally understand your butt hurt about the problem but the sad fact is good luck proving potential future damage in or out of court. Toyota knows this as well.
Keep pushing POLITELY but be advised anything you receive as compensation is considered a form of resolution in court. I personally don't think 1/4 of a quart is worth all the trouble especially since you plan on trading it in. Use the experience to learn from and make sure it doesn't happen again in the future. Move on, enjoy life and try and enjoy the truck

My truck was 2 quarts low.....I was awarded a 8yr/125k warranty. This was after being polite but persistent with corporate. But this was early on, before they supposedly fixed this issue at the factory. Once they gave out a bunch of free warranties, they tightened down, and stopped. This is probably why you and others are being denied.
