Now to finish these awesome lights off with these gems that are circulating like a bad cold.



So this honeycomb vinyl is reflective?
Im about to BHLM my headlights and wanna cover the orange reflector.

The honeycomb is not reflective, but the holes still let the reflector underneath do it's job. (albeit not as much but still functional)

Really not too concerned about reflection anyway, I plan to spray the orange with lens tint anyways, thought this may be a unique option.

Amazing work. These look really really good! It is probably the best Tail light mod/aftermarket option I've seen. I doubt anyone will create a better one. The attention to detail and safety is superb.

As for the reflector, does it has to be orange to be DOT compliant? Would something like black vinyl that reflects red work to replace it? I've seen it for the 3rd gen tailgate letter vinyl inserts that looks black and reflects as red.

I may need a set of these but not sure if I could come up with the kind of money that these are going to demand(and are worth, I'am in no way knocking the pricing your thinking about) with everything else I still need to get for my offroad safety/performace. This is going to be a tough choice for sure! What am I saying I'm sure I'll end up getting a set one day sooner than later.

AFAIK orange reflectors are not necessary, but a RED side and rear reflector are. I actually have some black reflective tape coming to try out, so we will see.

Custom boards are here.
These are badass to say the least. Custom designed and printed for the Tacoma... You can't get more custom than this!!! I opted for a black circuit board to keep it stealthy.

Not sure on release, when I get around to finishing them I guess
still need to test light output/beam and figure out if I'm doing a frosted inside panel or not. Source a few more OEM connectors so this thing will be flawless.
To start, I will be releasing a limited edition run of 10 and 1 special edition PRO.

Also, don't let the number of LEDS fool you. Although my original design had 200 per side, they were only 3mm's.(aka Xmas tree Lights). The ones that will be used in the current design are 5730's and have a ton more output...
Now diffusing it will be another matter

Mirror turn signal

 

Damnit. Too easy.
The factory Turn signal is a Celis rod(a clear acrylic rod with 1 LED at the end that shines through to the other end)
Great visibility from the back, but not much from the front/side. Amber SMD strip should solve this.

 

I've been wanting or thinking of opening this up to see if I can change the amber to yellow to match my headlight turnsignals and fogs. Possible?

 

Anything is possible with enough modification
As far as swapping the LED, it would be pretty tricky. It's mounted on a circuit board, and buried deep in there behind the acrylic.
I will be starting a thread for this new mirror LED... I've got some killer ideas.
