New to the Toyota World.

Had a 04 Subaru outback and hit some black ice, she didn't fair to well, I walked away without a scratch. I think secretly I have wanted a truck since I got the subie, at the time I was thinking the subie would be a better choice for moving from bama to colorado 5 years ago due to snow and me being naive. My brother has a Taco and I really liked his and the value they hold for years. Upon looking for a new car I ended up with a 2017 Tacoma Sport and man can I say that its a HUGE upgrade from my 13 year old outback (of course right). Being 6'3" I actually have leg room. The accelerator actually responds to pressure unlike my 4 cylinder soccer mom car did. I can tow more, the mountain passes don't feel as huge when you have power behind your engine. I have put about 1500 miles on her this month and have enjoyed everyone of them. I opted for the sunroof,JBL,traffic safety package and love every feature. The sounds system is awesome, i don't need a beat the block down system, but it is nice to ride all windows down and not hear the wind because the system is kicking so hard. The overall sound quality is great, just a little heavy on the low end. I used to not really think a lot about where me and my car could end up, but with this truck I am already scouting trails to hit that aren't to crazy. I am super excited for summer and all the trails my Taco and I will ride, camp, and conquer. Another thing I have never been into is adding MOD's to a vehicle. Well this forum and all you people have sparked a new chord in my soul and now haven't been able to stop think about what I should do first. I already acquired weathertech mats. I think the next move is the LED bulbs for interior (start small right).

All I can say is I am super excited for the years me and this truck will have together and the joy it will bring.

Haha, I bought the truck then found this forum. In a matter of minutes I had to remember that forums can terrify you or guide you and will make you question your decision. I take all the negative comments with a grain of salt and a bit more research!

 

its good you bought then came here, I did the same and not sure if I would have got the 17 if it worked the other way around.
