Anyone have any ideas on how to replace the rubber gas pedal pad without having to purchase the entire accelerator pedal assembly??
This is on a 2003, Tacoma PreRunner 3.4

I don't think there is a rubber pad that goes over the pedal.

I know there's a pad for the brake pad (mine's an auto) but haven't seen anything for the gas.

Way back in 2008 I went junkyard-dogging and got a floor-mount gas pedal and its floor pin bearings that attach the pedal to the floor out of a 69 Buick. I had to fab a mount through the floorpan to secure the bearings that snap into the base of the pedal. Almost 10 years old this little mod and works perfectly. I did it because I prefer more pedal under my foot than that tiny stick they call a pedal. Luckily my '16 RX350 has one like this factory-gee I wonder why??
