Took my 2014 in today to get a Texas state inspection. The technician said that it failed due to a faulty o2 sensor. He could not tell me which o2 sensor. The CEL is not on, and the truck has 34k miles. Is it normal for the o2 sensor to fail without triggering the CEL? How can I tell which o2 sensor it is? It may be worth noting that I have had a sudden drop in gas mileage from 18.5 mpg to about 15 mpg over the last few months. I have recently cleaned out the MAF sensor and throttle body, but have not had enough time to evaluate the results.

    Thanks!
