I have decided on the BP-51 as the compression rate is adjustable with a special tool while mounted. The rebound rate is also adjustable independently. This means that I can "tune" one setting for best ride when being used as a daily driver (and mostly empty) and after some tinkering find the setting for when I am offroad or loaded. After talking to ARB about it, making the change at a trail head takes less than 15 minutes. Once I find my preferred settings I can just right down the settings numbers and go.

I have also talked to the guys who do the Mountain State Overland on YouTube about them (ARB is a sponsor of theirs). Granted they are paid to support the product, but they also claim making adjustments only takes a few minutes once you get the hang of it. I like the idea of having a softer ride for Daily Driver Duty and a more aggressive setting for wheeling. Now if they just make it motorized so I could make the change from inside the cab ;)

Motorized?! I like where your heads at. Did you by chance ever get the spring rating is? 600...650? Trying to figure out if I got aluminum bumper, will the suspension be to stiff still.

I never got a specific spring specs for the coil over spring, however after talking with the Mountain State Overland guys they say the ride is very smooth with an ARB bull bar and winch hanging off the front. But again, they are sponsored by ARB so there is that. Out of all of the info I was able to find, it look like the spring itself is a different part# than the OME springs, so I have no hard numbers.

I have BP-51s running no bumper or winch I adjusted the front preload to 10mm of thread showing. The shocks are set at 1 for compression and 6 for rebound. It rides better than stock on my 2016 and handles much better. The truck just eats wash boards. I haven't had a chance to drive it on anything rocky yet, but I expect it to be superb.

Have you run into any problems with that much lift? I am about to get some and don't have a bumper or winch yet. Looks awesome.

I have front and rear bumpers now with a winch and rock sliders. I don't have any issues with this much lift now that I got TC UCAs.

After some recent use I've made up my mind that I don't recommend the BP51s for one critical reason. To adjust them you have to get your head in the wheel well and adjust the shocks with a wrench. It's not a quick task. The springs may get in the way as well as the other suspension parts. Plus you will get dirty, especially if you just drove through mud. I like on other company's suspension you just quickly turn a dial.

Man your truck is looking awesome. I have similar thoughts about the adjustment of these. Having never had a adjustable coil over type suspension though I have no way to compare it. I do know that the ride is significantly better than the 5100's and 885's I had on before these. I will continue to tweak while I add more stuff to the truck. They definitely feel better the more weight I add.

I agree with this 100%. I have had my BP51s on for the last few weeks and put a little over 2,000 miles on them. I have adjusted them at least 20-30 times trying to figure out the best settings. With my plate bumper, the fronts are easy to see and easy to adjust, but you still might get a little dirty. The rears are a whole different story. You either have to stick your head (and body for that matter) into the wheel well far enough to see the shock, or you have to lay on the ground and crawl under the truck to make adjustments. Its tough to see the settings, its tough to get the wrench positioned with the roost guard mounted and it can be tough to get enough leverage to turn the adjuster ring. The idea of a clicker on the reservoir that you can just reach in an turn is a much better design.

I am also not impressed with the ride on washboards and pot holed roads. I can't set the soft enough for them to be any less harsh than my stock Baja suspension. I am seriously considering selling them and going with a set of Kings valved for my specific springs rates.

I went to the Sierra Expeditions shop and told the guy my thoughts. He said he'll pass it onto OME. Hopefully they listen.

Those of you picking these suspensions up for pretty good deals, could you post where you got them? I’m struggling to find BP-51 vendors that don’t want a kidney
