different action location then I was talking about but I'm sure they are the same store per say haha ive heard of evolution tuning, buddy of mine lives in your neck of the woods and told me to go there to get my lift installed but I'm thinking of just doing it myself. cant imagine its too hard to swap coilovers and add a AAL haha but we will see when the time comes. I just don't like the idea of someone else working on my truck unless its absolutely necessary. I'm not even sure where to take it once I need an alignment, hear to many stories of shops just doing a toe and go.

Evo does alignement too, and since they are specialised in lift kit I guess they are doing it well. But I am 100% with you with doing the lift install by yourself. I would try it too. ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...thout-spring-compressor.314290/#post-12558884 ) the only thing that could go wrong is to hit a seized bolt... wich will happen... sorry about the spoiler lol!

Rusted bolts is my only concern, I would have to spray it with some PB blaster or something equivalent for a few days before I tackle it hahaha

Of course! I red here somewhere that the best is 50/50 of AT oil and thinner but didn't tried it yet... usually I heat it with a torch and put the impact on it lol

yeah I saw that as well hahaha haven't tried it. so far I haven't had to do any major work which required me to tackle any bolts. but when I was going to add some tie downs to my bed bolts, yeh that didn't happen lol I don't understand why they made the bolts so damn long! theres like 6" of exposed bolt haha rusted of course. lucky for me I got the recall leafs just before my oil spray so those bolts shouldn't be too bad haha

I added 6 tie down in my bed I drilled my own hole lol don't want to mess with those bolts! The other day I tried to take out a torx head bolt from the bed rails and I stripped it... damn torx don't understand why they still produce them! Crappy idea imo... now I have a home made slot nut stock in the tail because I can't go over the bolt lol

Never saw pb blaster around here but it seems to be pretty popular on tw lol! I solved my t slot not problem by making my own lol! They are not perfect but it is solid and do the job pretty well!

so you know what it looks like
    http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/pb-blaster-penetrant-0381510p.html

and inflatable air mattresses are the way to go! if I were to buy a new one I think I would go bigger and get a double thick one too, single thickness always loose a little air and I always end up hitting the ground when I roll over hahaha

Lol I went through 4 air matress I think... little hard on them... now I have one like 1"1/2 thick and it is really comfy but still tired to be on the ground... I will give a try to the camp bed. If I don't like it I will try the double thick air bed lol.

Thanks for the link! Never bad to have some on the shelf

    Just an FYI

I went to the dealer today and to be honest, I'm fairly pleased with their prices, so don't always assume online is cheaper hahaha

Washer needed for Front diff, rear diff and transfer case oil change:

    12157-10010 (3) (2 for RD,1 for FD) 1.99 Each
    90430-24003 (1 for FD) 1.99 Each
    90430-18008 (2 for T-Case) 2.99 Each

Here is a Kit on Amazon for price comparison

    Rear Diff Breather Relocate:

    Breather - 90930-03136 - $8.30
    Union - 90404-51319 - $16

Not sure what online prices are but this was in my hand out the door no waiting

I got the Tubing and the hose clamps from Benson's

    3/8'' Fuel Hose - $1.69/ft
    3/8'' Fuel Injection Clamp - $0.64/Each

If you ever brake the little clip that conjoins your rear door panel to your plastic window trim:

    90467-A0016-B2 $1.70

Stuff like that I always go to the dealer. I even get my filters at the dealer as the price is very reasonable for the quality. Brakes or other big parts....aftermarket lol

yeah I get my oil filter there too, apparently if you buy bulk they give u a better price, haven't tried that yet haha oh and while I was there I got a price for a new transmission pan gasket, $45 I think it was. Gaskets were like 5 each I believe and the filter was $150!! haha he said don't even change it, just clean it, said they never change them lol he couldn't find the gasket part # for the fill plug tho so ill have to do some research. I didn't need it right then and there so I told him not to worry about it haha at first hes like, don't u fill down the tube? I was like, ugh buddy there aint no dipstick on a taco then he remembered hahaha

Haha. I just did the tranny two summers ago I think. I didn't want to mess with the sealed tranny so I paid....I figured paying for a service every couple years isn't too bad. I do just about everything else though.

yeah I'm tempted to get a shop to do it, but I'm worried because the shit I read online. I have 226000km on the truck. got it used, so I have no clue on if its ever been done before. ive heard that if its never been done and they hook it up to a pump machine thinger that it could loosed some shit up and fuck the transmission which would be a big no no. at least at home the way u pump it out is just utilizing the pump from the tranny so its just normal operating pressure flowing thru it. I'm still on the fence about it but it really doesn't seem that hard to do myself. part of me wants to do it just so I know I can haha

I was in the same boat. Had the dealer do it. I feel they did a drain and fill kind of thing like you stated. No machine I think. I had it done at 120,000km. It can't hurt the tranny to do a drain and fill I would think.

drain and fill cant hurt no, but a full flush with a machine has me worried haha but I'm probably just paranoid haha ill crawl under the truck and have a look at the line I will have to disconnect to do the flush myself, if they look in rough shape or anything ill just do a drain and fill haha cant hurt to have a little fresh fluid in there, I don't drive it hard or tow anything at this point so I'm not overly worried about it at this point.
This just makes it look too easy haha

One of my friend had his mazda mpv on the machine once and the transmission never came back like it was before... but I don't want to scare you lol. I did a flush and fill on my manual and I really feel the difference. Has you said, I can't hurt to do it.
