    Hello all,

I'm a soon-to-be first time Toyota/truck/brand new vehicle owner here. I'm waiting on my order to be fulfilled and delivered, and the wait has been frustrating. I decided to purchase on my birthday, haha. Talk about an expensive bday present.
    • 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 | Double Cab, Short Bed
    • Automatic
    • Magnetic Gray Metallic
    • Premium & Technology with JBL packages
    • Tow Package
    • OEM Tonneau Cover
    • OEM All Weather mats
    • OEM Bed mat
    • OEM Bed LED Lights
    • OEM Exhaust Tip
    • OEM Ball Mount
I've lurked on here since the new year and have read many of the Gen3 love & complaint threads, but I have hopes my truck will work out well for me. :fingerscrossed: I plan to have the dealership do quite a bit of manual checks for items, such as trans and diff fluid levels, grease U-joints, & the like before I accept delivery.

I don't plan to do any over-the-top modifications, but currently on my list will be:
    • Clazzio seat covers
    • Putco Blade LED tailgate light bar
    • Interior light conversion to LEDs
    • HondoGarage's Vent mount and RAM ball phone kit
    • HondoGarage's Premium radio knobs
    • Vehicle OCD - console organizer & tray
    • Screen protector for Entune screen
    • Nano-sized 128GB USB drive for music with Entune
    • Extending A/C drip hose line off frame
    Down the road I'm considering:
    • Replacing grille
    • Moving to LED headlights & fogs
      • Still need to read up on this as it looks like replacing the whole light housing is required
    • Pop-n-Lock for tailgate
    • Behind grille install of a LED light bar
    • Front & rear dash cams
    • Bull bar/full bumper replacement?

    Anywho, I'll continue lurking.

    Cheers! :drunk:
    -Sam

    sigh ...

Original timeline was 1-2 months from order date (January). After no contact from the dealer since my purchase/order, I went back today on the 2 month anniversary to get a status update. The timeline has now been extended to 4 months from order date.

Now I have deal with registration renewal coming up on my trade-in a few weeks before delivery. As that wasn't crap enough, my current vehicle is out-of-state registration (WI) which require emissions inspection and my car would fail due to carbon buildup. I may have to see if the dealership will give me a loaner and do the trade-in before delivery.

Buy these off ebay. Same as oem but way cheaper. These are port installed. So tell the dealer to remove them. And save some moola.
    • OEM All Weather mats
    • OEM Bed mat
    • OEM Bed LED Lights
    • OEM Exhaust Tip
    • OEM Ball Mount

    • HondoGarage's Vent mount and RAM ball phone kit. If getting this order it now. It will take a while for this to come in. I have it live it. Awesome idea. Also get his knob upgrade u won't regret it.
    • Front & rear dash cams. Suggest getting the wire harness from the buy section on here. It plugs into the factory wire harness. But will allow u to cut the wire in the wire harness without cutting in to the factory harness.
    • Bull bar/full bumper replacement? Don't get bull bar they say on here u lose street cred for that. Have to go full bumper. I like the fab fours.
If your gonna buy, goto the buy section forums on here. Lot of great stuff and group buys.
@Mobtown Offroad has nice products and there is a group buy going on for sliders. Check out the website.
And lastly @ramonortiz55 puts together great group buys. Keep an eye out.

Lastly help if u can. Have a sense of humor. Great group on here willing to help just ask.

    Oh. Welcome!!

Why would the Pop-n-Lock be needed?
