Anonymous Truck Admirers?

I caught two teenage girls taking selfies with my truck today, using their selfie stick.

Has anyone else come across this scenario or something like it? Made me chuckle hardcore, PLEASE tell me this has happened to other people...

 

not quite but i did get an " awesome color man" as my son and i were getting in my inferno DCSBOR after my sons little league game today. made me feel good

 

Heck yea, the inferno is awesome, great choice. I saw it on the road the other day, pictures just don't do the color justice. It's always nice to get compliments, but what I experienced today took that to a whole new level.

 

i have had three different letters left on my windshield by grown men telling me how much they liked my truck. my wife is very confused by this phenomenon. she officially thinks most men are total dbags.

 

I find it's always the drivers of the new F150s that are checking the truck out and drooling. Don't know why, but I've spotted three so far.

 

Ive had people tell me cool truck. But I knew them kinda, and it isn't mine............yet.

 

I've had a few. Mainly stares I can see on the road. Might be due to the pink front emblem and tacoma letter inserts . Or me gawking at other rigged up yotas too. The cute guy at the recycle plant told me I had a sweet tacoma the other day, but I was too slow to muster a response. So I missed out on some yota love, haha.

I may not get pics taken of my truck (yet), but whenever I get asked if my transmission likes to frantically search for gears like a man trying to find the last Heineken in his fridge on a Friday night, I tell them no... I have a 2nd gen, and walk on by - 3rd Gen Bashing 101

 

At least you bought a Toyota, I'll give you that. Give it a couple years, they'll grow on me. Same shit 1st gen owners went through, they accepted 2nd gens in time.
But please by all means take a ride on the wild side, dont know if you had a previous gen but by all means take a ride in one someday and see the light.

 

There's my benefit in driving the MT. I don't have any of those issues. I have also driven the second gens for a while, my ex has an '05 TRD Off Road that I drove back in the day. I prefer mine, but I'm biased.

 

Just don't try to pass one..

 

I've gotten stares, gawking even, that I notice in rush hour traffic when there's nothing else to look at but the other drivers and what they're doing... most of the time I'm too busy enjoying the drive to notice, though my buddies in the car get a good laugh when they see it. Haha But god damned selfies with selfie sticks... I was walking back from a hiking trail and saw them as I was coming up, watched them for a little bit as they posed around my truck, and when it beeped from my unlocking it, they screamed and ran away. Seriously, chicks??

Rolling through the gates onto base, I have now been stopped a half dozen times with questions about the truck. I have been driving on and off base daily for 15 years... never been stopped until I picked up my silver beauty.. Leave me grinning like I just snuck a kiss.

I've noticed it a lot from 1st gen Tundras. It's all random outside of that.

 

Yep I definitely expected this NA v6 truck to pass a FI v6 or NA v8 truck.
