I have owned many many vehicles, this is the first taco and the driver seat comfortablility is little to be desired, kills my lower back. I am in the process of having the foam shaved/reshaped in areas and adding a combination of gel and plush memory foam installed on the bottom and back area. Next would be a full seat swap if all else fails...

In all the wrecks I've seen in total piece of shit cars as long as a seat belt was worn the seats stay where they are supposed to, these are 20 plus year old cars. I'm pretty sure a new truck with higher safety standards and a couple washers under the seat will out perform those. I didn't design the truck I'm only saying along with all the moving parts in the drivers seat that mod is not going to be the weak link. In an accident as bad as that I would be more concerned with the dash being pushed into my lap.

image.jpg This is a recent one I made. If his seat wouldn't have sheered he would have made it.

Hey, I remember that pic in another thread. Man, you get to see the crispy side of things. I'll say you've seen your fair share.

Yessir, I see way more than I want to. A faulty seat has never been the culprit as long as the person is belted in. The ones that really get to me are kids thrown from the vehicle because the parents are too fucked up to drive or don't belt them in.

No, the one that sticks with me the most was a little blond headed boy that looked like mine, same age and wearing clothes like he would wear, truck rolled while mom was fucked up and he went out the back window. I watched that boy take his last breath and it honestly for the past four years has been with me daily. I hug my kids every chance I get.

You mean around Tacomaworld, or around yer parts?

Because around HERE... engineer just means that I make way more money than I should for the unrealistic amount of paperwork I generate. Oh, and that in general I'm not a complete idiot, and I'm useful sometimes.
