    After doing a search on car crashes, it seems like there is a need for a dedicated thread for car crashes and what can be learned from them.

    My motivation for this stems from a local crash that happened yesterday involving highschool kids driving too fast and were unable to stop when the traffic was at a standstill. Two people were killed and a third one is in critical condition.

    Investigators are still trying to determine how fast they were going.

    It appeared that they swerved to miss hitting the cars in front of them and hit a pole. The car was split in half and the front end engine compartment was found 70 feet from the main cab. The car they were diving was a Lincoln.

    Having been a dumb ass kid I'm surprised I survived driving.
