Bought my 2001 with 8 year old tires on original rims.... decided it needed an update.

Found some almost new 2016 Tacoma Sport takeoffs for le$$ than new rubber alone. Good enough for me :)

I have to throw these in the mix as my new favorite keep-it-in-the-Toyota-family wheel swap.

The original pic had the factory finish. I did a little Fireworks magic and darkened them just to see what they look like. The rims are found on FJs and 4Runners.

Previous owner put these OEM 17" 4Runner wheels on. I see no reason to go to something else.

When I bought the truck the seller had these second gen 16's unused in boxes. He threw them in with the sale. I put on 1.25 inch BORA spacers and 265/70 16 inch tires. I get compliments regularly and I think it looks sharp. But that's just me.

I'm buying a 2004 Taco here pretty soon it is radiant red, I can't decide if I should go with some factory 4Runner 5 spokes powder coated black or the SCS F5s. What do you guys think? I love the offset of the F5s because I have fender flares so if I went with the 5 spokes I'd probably have to get some spidertrax spacers. But i have the 5 spokes already and could get them powdercoated for pretty cheap so cost would be a lot less. I plan on keeping the truck for a long time. It's a 3.4 5 speed extra cab with a paint matched canopy and 115k on it. No locker but that will come soon :) any input would be great of what you guys think.

That's kind of what I was thinking, I might just plastidip the 5 spokes and save up for some F5s. It seems like everyone is buying those now days though.
