Sadly, this beast has since been sold. The pictures were taken in August 2012:

This former Greyhound bus, which was converted into a motorhome, belonged to my Grandparents' friends in Maine. FYI in the state of Maine, one does not need a CDL or special endorsement to drive a recreational vehicle. This includes former buses that have been converted into recreational vehicles! I could drive this thing with my Class C Pennsylvania driver's license!

Pickup truck purists, yes they do have a Honda Ridgeline (look to the left):

Saw this in parking lot of Doylestown Hospital back in May 2009 (I think it's a Diamond T):

I was looking at the laws in Washington state and found that one doesn't neet a CDL to drive some vehicles that usually require them if they aren't used for "commercial" purposes.

In Pennsylvania, you also can drive an antique big rig on a regular Class C license if it has antique plates.

Go with a soft roll up cover or soft tri-fold cover. Do you do any type of hauling in the vehicle? Sorry if you answered this already I didn't read all the comments.

Access and Truxedo/Gator make the best and most affordable soft rolls up. If you go with a soft tri-fold I recommend Gator Tri-fold or American Tri-fold. I've had numerous covers on my Tacoma.

Our male English Bulldog ate the entire bottom half off our bedroom door and all of the surrounding trim and some sheetrock shortly after we got him. That's the day we found out he's afraid of storms.

    I lied...

He sold the orange 2002 Ranger and bought a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 5-speed, in which he installed the Alpine head unit. The pictures of the blue 2004 Ranger were taken in January 2009, which means I would not have had my learner's permit yet when my uncle sold the 2002...

Now I remember why I didn't get my uncle's orange truck as a first vehicle, and also why I didn't get the blue one...

The orange 2002 long bed was long gone by the time I finally got my learner's permit...

I wanted the blue 2004 Edge, and I REALLY wanted a stick shift, and my uncle offered it to my dad at an unbeatable price, but my dad said no because he thought a stick shift would be "too distracting," and my uncle sold this when he bought the 5-speed Caravan...

This blue 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 2WD was the orange 2002 Ranger's replacement. It had the 3.0L V6 and a 5-speed manual transmission. He flew out to Ohio where the previous owner lived, bought it, and drove it back home. My uncle still owned this truck when I got my learner's permit, I really wanted it, and my uncle offered it to my dad for an unbeatable price, but my dad didn't want my first vehicle to be a stick shift. This was sold when he bought the 1990 Caravan 5-speed...

I hated the BCIU #22 "prison vans" with a passion. Even when we got this brand new Ford E-series in September 2009 (note that the temp tag is still in the rear window), I preferred my teacher's 2001 Windstar with busted A/C (the brand new Ford had GREAT A/C)...

It got to the point where I flat out refused to to ride in the damn thing, and my teachers respected my wishes. They took turns picking me up in college. One teacher picked me up in her husband's Sierra Z71 once, another picked me up in her 2005 Honda Pilot, and yet another picked me up in her crappy 2001 Ford Windbag...

Once I got my license and started driving the Tacoma, none of this mattered, but I guarantee you that even today, most if not all high-functioning individuals hate riding in these damn vans...

Also, the BCIU was too cheap to pay the extra $250 or so for the AM/FM stereo with a goddamn CD player and AUX input! The Ford in this picture had front and rear A/C, cruise, tilt, power windows, and power locks, but only had an AM/FM radio!

Years ago I had two walker hound pups to raise for hunting, fenced in a concrete slab, and built a dog house for them. So as to not use the space inside the fence, I placed the dog house outside the fence and cut out the fence area where the door was, and fastened the fence to the dog house around the door. One day when I get home from work they were gone, and I found a large hole in the side of the dog house where they escaped. They chewed threw 1/2 inch plywood until they could get through it. After posting bail for the 3 days they were in doggy jail, I had to figure out how to keep this from happening again. I removed the roof, and lined the inside of the dog house with chain link fence, this worked. But they did poop sawdust for a few days with no ill effects, and turned out to become good hunters.

When I was in 7th grade, my English teacher told me about a Labrador puppy he had like 15-20 years before (I was in 7th grade from 2001-2002, so now this is closer to 30-40 years ago). The puppy ate a box of crayons and basically shat candles for like 3 days!

Mr. Starring, 7th grade English teacher at Oak Harbor Middle School in Oak Harbor, Washington...

Wherever you are now, I propose a virtual toast to you!

I had a dog when I was a kid that ate socks. We (my brother and I) were always stuck wearing mismatched socks, and you'd find them in the spring all over the back yard (where she had crapped them out) when the snow melted.

Uncle's Staffordshire Terrier, Willy, ate wingnuts, washers, bolts, and all sorts of stuff lying on the ground at the hubcap store... Now he's 11 years old and almost completely deaf but is for the most part happy and healthy...

Now Willy the Staffie is more like this guy...
