    I don't think I'm making your point as both people have the cash, just one chose to spend his differently. It's not a matter of who's got more money, it's about what you choose to do with your money.

    Edit: I look at depreciation as me enjoying the money i've earned, living a little. sure you can drive around a $5k truck that is done depreciating, but what's the point in having a lot of money to not spend it, just for bragging rights?

    Put a fat down payment on my truck with my credit card. Paid it off immediately when it hit, got a good payout in rewards.

    I'd put some cash on a bet that this thread didn't quite go where the OP wanted.

    Yeah I paid cash too... Taco dealer was playing too many games with pricing... figured they'd try and burn me on a loan too so I went to my bank and asked them what was the interest rate.... yeah not what I wanted to pay so I took $35K out of the bank I went to and asked for a car loan!

    Go figure that....

    Using cash for a depreciating asset (regardless of how good) is often never advised by anyone who's spend anytime in the financial sector. I would think this is some sort of bragging thread...

    For a few grand more than his SR5 he could have been bragging about paying cash for a Honda Accord.

    :rofl::rofl:

    Ahem.... almost choked there.... what YOU don't have an 8" cock?

    I thought standard equipment for bros, bro! Just sayin...

    Yeah at my dealer they were at like 1% financing EXCEPT for the 1 Taco on the lot, the 1 I was looking at.... fuck me. I was pissed. They were actually trying to get me to walk out so they could up the price more .... at the time 9/15 there were very very few 3rd gens out so a lot of interest in my truck.
    I walked in with the internet ad with MSRP price on it. They wanted to renig and actually ended up doing so on my dime PLUS they were going to stick the car loan up my ass no lube...

    Gave them 5hundy deposit, went to the bank; @ bank without even checking my credit or checking my account balance MY bank told me like 7% interest.... right there I said write me a bank check for $35K.

    What was the bank VP thinking... I would have given me a 3% interest loan and let my money ride in my account.... that way they get me on both ends. No deal - Fine, gimme my money.... deal done. Moved the other coin in my bank account back into my investment account not at that bank.

    My bank lost out and so did Toyota. Made that $35K back already.... market berry berry good to me.

    HA! No.
    I paid cash for this thing, though.

    Credit union didn't want to finance a 30 year old truck. Weirdos. :notsure:
