I considered that for a fleeting moment. I don't hard-core offroad, I just do logging roads and hunting areas but there is still the potential of getting stuck. I've been lucky so far, but I have had to pull others out of the sand and mud. It'll happen to me sometime I'm sure and they may not be able to get to the back to do a reverse pull on me due to narrow trails.

I'm going to play around with it today and see if something can be done to get around this. Maybe two shackles instead of one if it's a reach issue. I'll let you know if I can get it to work and snap some pics if I'm successful.

I got them off of Amazon. The air bag kit and the onboard air compressor. Two different vendors. I will try to find the links for you.

You could keep your eyes peeled for another scratch and dent to pop up!

    http://www.rcimetalworks.com/Scratch-and-Dent_c24.htm

With a TW discount it was $191 shipped. Just something to consider. Or just remove the trd skid. My sport never had one, and I bumped the "splash guard" into some stuff which still kept it protected.

Just installed the SOS Offroad Concepts front recovery point. There is some clearance issues with the TRD Skid plate, but I don't think it will interfere with attaching a strap nor prohibit a successful recovery. The skid will get bent in the process but not irreparably so (I don't think anyways).

The OEM recovery point for the TRD Sport was utterly useless with the skid so this at least is an improvement and can provide an attachment point to get me out of a mud hole.

    Pics!

Not bad at all! I'd take a bent skid and successful recovery any day.

I've bent enough crap over the years a little cosmetic "oopsie" in exchange for getting unstuck is a worthy trade off in my book.
