Will there be rubbing with tires 265/70/17 and 1.25" spacers on stock suspension?

I'm thinking about putting the 2017 trd pro rims (Sema) size 17x8 on tires sized 265/70/17. I also want to put 1.25" spacers on it for an aggressive look. The suspension on it will be off of a 2017 trd sport. Do you all think it will work with no rubbing? Maybe some of you all have pics?

    4) shitstorm to follow possibly even a lock-down and some ban-hammers thrown in.

First off... what truck are you putting those wheels on?? Any why in the word would you want to INSTALL a TRD Sport suspension?? Usually we are changing OUT the Sport suspension.

It's a 2012 access cab 4x4. I have a bad strut on one side due to an accident and was just going to swap them out with a stock Toyota suspension. I'd like something with a rough ride than just the basic Tacoma one. Just no lift. Someone nearby me is selling a 2017 sport suspension so I considered getting that one

Sport has a still bouncy ride... price is probably right unless its anything more than FREE!

Solved my bouncy harsh ride with a bale of hay in the bed until I changed to Bilsteins. If someone local is getting rid of a suspension off an OR that'd be the one I'd go for and maybe even pay a little. Basically the OR suspension is Bilstein 5100 ride without the lift.

Spacer lift with a TRD Sport suspension.... reconsider your options IMHO.

Do you think I should go with the trd sport suspension? I want to put the rims on it with a little bigger tires. Why not the spacers?

Ride quality will suffer... probably not stepping up from current suspension "feel" unless it's tired and needs replacing.

I have a TRD Sport... replaced with Bilstein all around. You couldn't pay me to put the Sport suspension back on... well unless you were buying my truck and pay me... maybe would consider but would try and talk you out of that.

Rubbing will depend on where your caster is set. More negative caster = rubbing.

I think he meant wheel spacers if I'm not mistaken...

Yes, wheel spacers, not a spacer lift

Also, I believe there will be a 1" lift gained from the 2017 suspension, as the newer (read: 3rd gen) Tacoma's sit an inch higher. Also, you could run that tire size without a lift and be totally fine.

You forgot the totally off topic conversation that will surely ensue somewhere around page 3.

Yes true ... that falls under the general umbrella of "shirt storm to follow".... oh shit it's already started :crapstorm:

Now we are working on wheel spacers... sorry my bad. Wheel spacers AND TRD Sport suspension used ... back up to speed.

All these mods, why doesn't the OP just trade up to a "real" Taco.... just sayin
