I'll be ordering my lift probably on Monday, I'm looking at the Headstrong Bilstein lift. My goal is to add 3" lift to my 09 DCSB TRD Tacoma. When looking at the coils, should I run the 2887's?

Also is there a discount for TW members through Headstrong? I keep seeing all the rave about the company.

No discount, their prices are competitive and if you find something cheaper just let them know. Just remember their prices include shipping.

As far as coils, are you 4x4 or 4x2? Adding any weight like plate bumper or winch up front?

4x4, I might be adding more weight down the road but not entirely sure if I do it wont be right away. My wallet will have to recoup a bit after buying lift wheels and tires :woot:

886 if your adding weight. It will more like a 2.5 or so lift but it will handle the weight better as it is higher spring rate.

887 if not adding weight, its same spring rate as 885 but taller to accomodate for the sag with additinal parts for 4x4

So since I'm 4x4, and not planning on adding any weight, I should go for the 887?

Talking to Marie right now on which setup I should get and what additional hardware is needed. She has always been very prompt and informative with her responses. Cant wait to submit my order once I finalize which suspension kit I will be going with... Fox level 3 or Icon Stage 4?? Decisions... decisions....

Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you. We are closed on the weekends and Mondays are super hectic.

The 887 coils will provide around 3" of lift on a 05-15 double cab 4x4. The lift from any spring, whether it is a coil spring or leaf spring, is variable can can depend on the overall weight of the vehicle and the manufacturing tolerances of the springs themselves.

We do not have a standing discount because we try to offer everyone the best price possible. We have found that our competitors will mark their prices up in order to offer discounts like a 5% off. With that being said if you find the out-the-door price for the same exact items lower somewhere else please let me know and I will see what else I can do. Keep in mind everything on our website includes free shipping as well.

Thanks for the response :). I went to order your lift today and remembered that I have a protection on my account for online orders over $250 (I'm in law enforcement and have dealt personally with too many people racking up thousands of dollars online with stolen credit cards).

So I'll be getting that waived within the next day or so and placing my order :).

We have many customers who have a daily spending limit. If you can't get it waived or it is too much trouble we can split the order up in as many requests as need be and you can pay accordingly.

Dealing with a stolen credit card is a huge nightmare. I had my car broken into when I was younger and my purse was in it, totally stupid on my part, but they got my debit card and Id and drained my checking account. Luckily the bank could verify it wasn't me and replaced the stolen money. They found my stuff in a meth lab bust about 3 years later.

Lastly, before I pull the trigger, is the Deaver Single AAL going to make the truck just as high in the back as it is in the front with the 887s?

The deaver single leaf aal will provide around 1.5" -2" of lift over stock. So depending on where your truck sits now will help you determine what your truck will sit like after everything is installed.

It is really difficult to guarantee a particular stance since so many variables can come into play. In order to try to get the best results possible, I recommend measuring your current rake (from the center of the hub to the bottom of your fender on all 4 corners) to see exactly how much higher you sit in the back as opposed to the front. This way you will know about how high you will need to go in the front and/or rear to get you near the stance you are shooting for. Measurements should be taken on level ground in order to be as close to accurate as possible. For example say your measurements come out to 21 in the back and 20 in the front and you want to go up around 2.5” in the front this is how you would figure it.

Front 20” + 2.5” (or whatever lift you are shooting for) = 22.5”

Now subtract the Rear measurements which in this mock case is 21”

And you get 1.5” which is the approximate height you would need to go up in the rear to be near level.
