noticed an extremely faint whistling almost as if the window is slightly cracked open. I've narrowed it down the somewhere near the drivers side view mirror. I'm guessing it's just the way the door seal sits against the door. Anyone experiencing this? I'm not sure even a video clip would pick it up and if the music is on you really can't hear it. But I was on a phone call this afternoon on the highway and picked up on it.

Edit:does not make the kazoo noise someone else posted about

Yes .... common ... only hear it with the window open and radio turned off or way down and only at certain speeds and/or when the wind is blowing... difficult to replicate.

Solution... turn radio up, problem solved.

Yeah, pretty much the solution to all of our whistling, howling, creaking issues here! Haha anyways I'm not as concerned about the wind noise but if wind can get through, its only a matter of time before water follows in with it...

No leaks had the truck for 1.5 years .... 20K miles. Whistle was there from mile 1. It's not that bad. The rattle in the A-pillar on the passenger side, now that was annoying. Got that fixed last week at my 20K service. The rattle showed up winter 2 .. only rattles in cold weather.

What did your dealer end up doing to silence the pillar--padding?

Took the truck in for 20K service, told them about the A-pillar rattle / tic-tic-tic sound. Went on a ride with the service tech ..... for some reason HE wanted to drive the truck.... I have an M/T so I get it, fun to drive... whatever... was of course "unable to duplicate" as the rattle is only there when the truck is cold.

So get back to the shop and the Tech (name is Phatty - well Phat but the Jamaican greeter calls him Phatty), says he's going to look thru TSBs to see if there's a write up on it. I told him it was common. Well he found a write up and took the A-pillar apart re-aligned the felt and installed some more felt and problem solved. No tic and no rattle! But my wife hasn't gone for a ride yet... she grabs the handle to climb aboard... (lifted).

They changed my oil but didn't lube the drive line.... I asked the tech... he said they are all sealed no zirks. I told him I have an early version Gen3 and it's got 5 zirks... LUBE and oil change... WTF. I specifically asked them to lube the driveline.. it takes 10 minutes maybe. I said no worries I got it, just like the last 3 times I took truck in for a LUBE and oil change and only got the oil changed. /RANT.

Yeah, mine has 2 zerks in the front and I have no intentions of explaining to my dealer to lube and change oil, maybe 2 things is too difficult to handle in one service. IDK but its a simple task and I would rather make sure its done and done correctly.

I agree...... I have 20K miles the service department lubed ZERO times in 5 service attempts 2 different dealers even after asking for a LUBE and oil change. Be sure and lube the driveline... did you lube the driveline? No it's not due yet... you don't have to lube it they are all sealed... its not due yet.... when do you lube it... all sealed .... whatever.. I got this.

Weather is nice enough ... time to crawl under and do it myself.... better check the oil and be sure they changed that too.

A-pillar rattle is different ... the whistle on the driver side mirror is different too... I don't have the door rattle ..... yet!

When you get the A-pillar rattle it starts as a tic tic tic in cold weather only... so when you're freezing your ass off driving down the road, all you can focus on is the tic tic tic.... then it turns into a full on rattle rattle buzzz ... very very annoying.
