I've inherited a white 1995 Toyota Truck with 136k. I know it runs, not sure how well. Would it be a wise keep'r or would you sell her?

Regular cab, automatic, no TRD or lifts, stock truck, rarely driven in last 10-15 years, in So Cal. Just wondering if the '95's are anything special.

how much time and money do you have to put into it? Do you enjoy working on vehicles? 136k if treated ok, is just broken in.

You mentioned it's a California truck so it's worth a hell of a lot of money. Not only does California have an INSANE resale amount for compact pickup trucks, the frame is most likely completely rust free.

I've seen 1st Gens with almost 150,000 miles and people ask for almost $15,000 for them. They sell no problem. My '98 only has 80k miles and after checking around what the median price for my truck is on Craigslist and various auction sites, my truck has only depreciated in value less than $10k since it was new.

I park my truck on the street (which hasn't treated the clearcoat very well since it's peeling and flaking) yet I still get offers in the windshield every so often asking if I wanted to sell it.

OP since you have a 98 you could look to sell off the 1995 if the condition checks out to help fund more mods.

My 95 runs pretty well. I bought it as a CA truck and drove it out to New England. The engine needs a new valve cover gasket and I've put in a handful of new parts on the front end, but its awesome for a 20 year old truck and 150k miles

Is it a 1995 Pickup or a 1995 Tacoma? 1995.5 is when Tacomas were introduced, before that they were just Toyota "Pickups".

If you need/want a truck, keep it and it will likely run for a good long time. If you dont want it, figure out what its worth by giving the specs to the experts here

OP Hasn't called it a Tacoma so I think it's a pickup. Either way, 136k is great low mileage. If you have no need for it, tune it up, clean it up, and you could get a good price for it.

Tacoma? They are the best. Starting 97 Toyota was adding more gadgets, and electronics complicating things for maintenance and repair.

SOLD. Mom's neighbor always had his eye on that truck since her husband passed. Well, Mom's last wishes fulfilled. Thanks for the replies
