Is there a way to tell if I have a valve cover leak or a timing cover leak. Tia

Do you see oil leaking out of those areas?

Your best bet it to clean everything off with Purple Power/Simple Green and a wire brush. (Be careful not to scratch any plastic pieces if you care about looks!) Once everything is cleaned up, you can easily see if it's leaking. I did the same thing a week ago because I thought my power steering pump was leaking onto the block.

Yes I see oil in that corner but also in the rear on the cover there a stain and on the side I see a stain so I can't tell if it's the expensive timing cover leak. I'm going to wait for night and try to get some picture. In the daylight I think it's harder to see. Thanks for getting back to me

I personally don't see anything to stress about. The stain appears to be old. I'd clean it up and see if it returns.
