Warn Hawse Fairlead 73580 / Wire Rope

Anybody have experience with this fairlead and wire rope. The description states that the black unit is good for wire or synthetic. I know its ideal to have synthetic but i dont. I have wire. Im building a front bumper and the fairlead that came with the winch is too bulky looking with the rollers. Plus its chrome. Not a fan. Hehe. So this Warn fairlead is the only thing I found that may be compatible with wire. I also read that wire and these types of fairleads dont mix too well and will ruin the wire.

Oh well im gunna give it a shot and see how it works. Just looking for some firsthand experience with this particular fairlead and wire.
