    I have a 2003 Tacoma with after market wheels (16"). I want to either buy original alloy wheels and paint them matte black or buy OEM TRD wheels.

    I have found OEM wheels at my local junk yard in good shape for $75/wheel. I've also seen two deals online for new TRDs. One is about $720 for four wheels and they seem to be genuine Toyota brand OEM wheels. The others are about $500 and they say they are OEM but the mfr is "KT."

    I'd appreciate advice as follows:

    1. Buy used OEM alloys and paint them. (Should I be able to find them for less than $75/wheel?);

    2. Pay $720 for the new "Toyota" OEM TRD wheels (should I be able to find them cheaper?); or

    3. Buy the "KT" "TRD" wheels for $500.

    Thanks for any input.

    Buy the cheap ones and paint em black. I prepped mine real nice and painted them w Rustoleum semi-gloss. They look good and are durable.

    Thanks! I ended up buying the OEM wheels. A little pricey, but they are awesome. I paired them with some Cooper Discoverer A/Tw's and could not be more pleased.

    Sounds good - can't go wrong with that. I am looking at some TRD Pro wheels right now...
