So, I'm in the market for a nice used Taco. I'm pretty set on a AC with low miles Probably a 2015 or the right 2014 year model.

I've looked at Craigs, Auto Trader, Edmunds, Car Guru's....is there some other source I am not aware of??

I know AC trucks are not as common as DC's, but right now I'm not finding much out there.

Oh, I've also checked the used market place right here on TW too. :D

Found my truck by searching the official preowned toyota website. Drove 5 hours to get it, no issues at all.

Tacomas are hard too find, and when you do they are gone within hours.

I've had good luck with Cars.com --- a quick search for 2014-15 access cabs within 250 miles of Dallas yielded 36 cars.

Of course the listed dealership prices are at least $3000 more than what KBB lists as private party values, so keep that in mind.

Interesting little development I can't understand.

I found the exact same Toyota Tacoma listed at two different dealers, same Vin#, same everything, but the dealers are 150 miles apart.

Now I can understand if they are part of a commonly owned group of dealers, but If I traveled to one dealer expecting to see that truck on their lot and was told that it was at a different dealer 150 miles away, personally, I'd be pretty pissed off.

Why would two dealers so far apart list the same truck?

CarMax. Best used dealer you could imagine. Last vehicle I bought from them I was in and out in just 2 hours including test drive.

If you want advice on this one, you'll have to post links for the ads.

As far as places to buy, you can also check out kbb.com, carfax.com, and tred.com. I just posted my truck on Tred, we'll see how it goes. They do all the work for you and post to all the sites to "get visibility of 95% of car shoppers".

They are trading partners most likely. Not uncommon to sign up for a car buying service and have a dealer send you specs on the exact car you're looking for, only to find out that it's not on their lot. They'll try to charge you a separate delivery fee for it as well.

When I bought my truck, I went to a dealer that had 4 used Tacoma on the lot supposedly. When I got there, turns out there was only 1. The other 3 were at their sister dealers. Thankfully the one I really liked one I e was the 1 they had.

I found mine on craigslist but through a wholesale dealer.. Was quite a ways away and they actually met me halfway.. But, I was also only looking for a DCLB TRD sport in magnetic gray.. They were few and far between.

    Too few to list.
My advise is that if you find one you like at a dealership, call and make sure they have it. If they do, better get your ass there asap. Here in SoCal if they are decently priced, they sell within hours of posting.
